JAMES SEVERINE & NEIGHBORS NEARLY DEFRAUDED BY SANIBEL ISLAND, FLORIDA CONTRACTOR ACME
Fort Myers, FL. --- Seasonal Sanibel Island resident James Severine has managed to foil a scam by notorious Forida Contractor, Acme that nearly cost Severine and three other residents several hundreds of thousands of dollars.
James Severine and his wife purchased their beach front property in 2013 under a trust, on Beach Front Drive and foiled what would have been a amounted to a disasterous loss for them and two neighbors.
Victim Advocate Publications reports that Mr. Severine learned of Acme's fraud shortly after taking substantial deposits from him and two neighbors, by a mere fluke. Severine, learned through reliable sources that Acme had just days prior filed bank ruptcy in Lee County.
Acme under the aka of Seaside Contractors pulled the same scam in 2009 in Polk County leaving nearly 15 home owners ripped off for nearly $7-Million dolars.
Beach Front Drive residents are calling James Severine a hero for his quick reaction. Severine commented; "I'm no hero, I just acted in the best interest of my family and the two others whom would have been adversely impacted, by bringing check payments to a screeching hault and severing ties with this underhanded contractor."
"Jim is understated and humble, but the fact is that he is a true hero. It would have cost double the amount to recoup losses had he not reacted and notified us, let alone the aggrevation, and possibility of never recouping," Said Mike Urstabant
