Complaint Review: James Vincent

Jimmie has been known to post ads on Craigslist. He claims to be planning an on-going, big budget entertainment event and he is looking for qualified staff. DON'T BE FOOLED!

He is very convincing. He will describe his project in great detail; an interactive, audience participation, improv show that offers extravagant prizes. He will lead you to believe that he just needs to work out a few final details and that the deal with his "investors" is already in place. THERE ARE NO INVESTORS.

He has a very impressive and professional looking presentation package that describes everything in detail; the show, financial and legal agreements and documents for you to sign. The documents he has managed to compile appear very legitimate - BECAUSE THEY ARE - they have been prepared by highly qualified individuals, unsuspecting participants that are past victims of his scam.

He will ask you for money from day one. He will claim he needs you to pay a refundable, upfront fee for a background check. If he sees an opportunity, he will try to get more money from you. He will nickle and dime you for gas money, try to get you to invest in this FAKE show, whatever he can get, nothing is too big or too small. Personally he only got me for $40 for the background check. I consider myself to be fortunate. 

He has ripped off hundreds of people in several states. Last summer he was in the Bullhead City, AZ/Laughlin NV area. He then went on to rip off numerous individuals in Las Vegas after that and he has moved around to several cities and states since.

He is very good at what he does. If confronted he will become highly agitated. He and his dissabled/partner in crime wife live off of her SSDI. He will say anything to gain your trust. He will not hesitate to use any necessary tactic to extort money. He has no known address as he stays at weekly rate motels and hangs out at the local dive bars.
