James Woods - City Finance And Securities Attempted contact RIP-OFF could smell it a mile away! I was so glad that this website was there. You saved me from depositing the $4,888.99 check into my account and getting skammed. Seattle Washington
I received a #10 white envelope addressed to me, written in all large bold letters and centered on the envelope. I almost threw it in the trash but decided to open it anyway. Post mark was out of Canada. I wonder if they know they have a scam going on in their country.
I saw the check and was immediately hooked; told me to call this 1-866 # and speak with James Woods. I did and gave him my Claim # of A4-ST7022-05.
Interestly enough in the body of the letter the writer sais due to the mix up of some numbers and names, we ask that you keep this award strictly from public notice until your claim has been processed and your money remitted to your account. This is part of the security protocol to avoid double claiming or unscrupulous acts to by participants of this program.
As if that paragraph wasn't making the hairs on my neck stand up. I called as the letter instructed and when the guy answer. He sounded foreign. He said "HELLO". If this truly is and was a business you would never say "HELLO".
He didn't want to chat with me; simply said we will talk tomorrow once you have deposited the check into your checking/savings account. He told me to call him tomorrow once I had done this and he would make arrangements for my $250K winnings to be hand-delivered to me within 2 days.
Please stop this guy. I'm sure others are receiving this same kind of thing. It looked really convincing.
Thank you,
Sue
