I signed up for a "FREE" ringtone at Jamster.com. Little did I know that I was signing up for a weekly contract supposedly at $1.99 per week. I went back to the website and cancelled as soon as I received a text message that told me I was being billed $1.99.

The next thing I know, I start receiving these text messages stating I am being billed $1.99 about every other day, not once a week.

I went back to the website and cancelled AGAIN. These messages continue to come. I called my wireless provider, Cingular and they inform me that there is nothing I can do but disable my wireless internet service on my cell phone. I didn't think that was fair that I had to do without a wireless connection just to stop Jamster.com from billing me.

I contacted Jamster.com on the only phone number listed on their website. I noticed that there isn't an address listed on their website. The customer service rep was very extremely rude. I could harly understand her accent. I asked where I was calling and she said Berlin, Germany. They told me that the problem was with Cingular and I needed to contact them.

Back and forth I went. Now I am stuck with $50.00 worth of charges that Jamster will not remove and Cingular won't help me with.

Beware of this company. Do not be fooled that it is owned by VeriSign. I have since found out that I am not alone. Alot of friends said they are dealing with the same thing. The company is not registered to the Better Business Bureau and for good reason.

Now I also realize that I cannot rely on Cingular to help their customers with this kind of problem.
