I have been writing articles for Julie for about two years. She always issued a contract for a set of articles or eBook chapters, which she has signed electronically and which I signed and returned to her.

She paid my invoices for the first year and a half; however, since the first of the year 2010, payments have become increasingly slow. She now owes me for invoices issued from April to now. I issued invoices through PayPal and she has paid through PayPal for the past year or so.

She now owes me $766.75 and is not responding to e-mails either directly from me or through PayPal. She has been paid for my work, but she hasn't met her contracted obligations to me.

Julie sent me the entire amount owed via PayPal. In return I sent her the invoices marked "Paid in Full." This matter is closed as far as I'm concerned.

"Unacceptable"??? Her clients paid her for my work. She just failed to pay me. Is that fraud?

I had been writing for her and getting paid without complaint for over two years. I have found many of those articles of mine published by her. She was paid by her clients for this "unacceptable" work. She just decided to keep the payments and not pay me the money she owed me. I wasn't the only writers she failed to pay. I know. I should have known better. She had claimed bankruptcy once before. Buyer beware!

The last round of invoices owed to this individual was not paid as the work was not accepted from the firm's clients. She was a great asset to the team over the past 2 years however.
