Ok, let me preface this story by saying that I know it sounds un-believable, and the person(s) committing these crimes is counting on that. Ok here it goes--My landlord/property owner, Janet L. Beumer/Wellman Property Mgmt, has installed hidden cameras inside my apt (2821 West Blvd, Los Angeles, Ca. 90016) and I believe throughout the entire bldg where I live in LA. How do i know this you ask? Well, i moved into this apt about 2 years ago after being a homeless vet and thankfully securing an expedited housing voucher. When I moved in everything seemed normal and for the next year I had no major or memorable problems with my landlord or neighbor(s). But in the ensuing year, I became unemployed/laid off and began to notice some weird happenings with my upstairs neighbor. It seemed as if someone was following me from room to room ( l live in a 1 bdrm), I also started to notice pounding on walls and stomping at all hours of the day and couldn't figure out what the hell was going on. To make a long story short (not really), what i thought was 1 person living upstairs turned out to be 3 or 4, which included a developmentally disabled teen who it turnes out is the one who was/is basically stalking me inside of my apt (it's an old bldg and you can hear well enough between upstairs and downstairs) and who apparently is fixated on me b/c I would subsequently find out (via hearing conversations upstairs from the woman who lives there) that she, with the approval and knowledge of the landlord, had been watching me via cameras the whole time I have lived here, and had come across some footage in that viewing that depicts let's say some very private moments that certainly were not meant to be shared with the general public. This woman has shown/shared tapes/footage of me with not only random people in & outside of the apt bldg but she shared/watched them with the developmentally disabled teen who lives with her and ladies and gentlemen, that's why he's so fixated on me and is following me everywhere. How's that for child rearing? So anyway, that's just the beginning. Once the landlord knew I had knowledge of the cameras, she has posted equipment in the upstairs apt to view me live and in living color 24/7 for the past 2 wks. Not only has she been posted up in the apt but she's invited 'friends' to come in and view me too. How do i know? They are very vocal about commenting on my personal habits, ie what I'm wearing, what facial expressions I'm making, what i'm watching on tv, my lack of personal cleanliness (in their opinion), and even what my body looks like in the shower/bathroom, cuz yes folks there are cameras there too. Why haven't I reported this to the authorities you ask? Ok, the lapd has been contacted, but said without definitive proof of the cameras they can't do anything and checking around to private companies as well as private investigators, i found that the cost to sweep for hidden cameras is exorbitant for most working people but for someone in my financial position, it's d**n near impossible. so hence I am in a screwed up position to put it mildly. There are multitudes of people in neighborhood who know what is going on and not one person has spoken up to the police. But amazingly they will come into the apt above me and post up and watch me and laugh about what's going on. What kind of animals that exist amongst us and would do this and actually feel justified b/c they have intimated that the landlord has done a 'lot of nice stuff'. WTF?!!! The landlord is the ultimate criminally insane sycophant I have ever had the displeasure of coming across. She has indicated that she's done this before to others but I guess I've held out longer than she anticipated. Again, this story sounds like a bad lifetime movie and if anyone else brought this story to me, I'd look at them like they'd lost their everlovin' mind, but folks, believe me and trust, I will NEVER get bored enough to come up with a story like this! This is real and it's happening and has been happening to me for months now and I need somebody, just 1 person to provide a way for me to bring those involved and responsible to justice! The landlord seems to think that b/c this is her bldg and b/c she's gotten away with it so long, that she can continue to do this to people. Well, I want to be the LAST person she EVER does this to. I want to make sure she is behind bars and wearing orange like she belongs. I want her to feel what it's like to have your actions watched and dissected 24/7 and not be able to do anything about it. Again, this is a loooong story, but it's a 100% true one. Again, I've gone to law enforcement and they have basically blown me off. So if 1 person reading this believes, then this experience will have been for something bigger than me.
