I purchesed a 2 carat diamond tennis bracelet from Janvier Jewelers to give to my wife on the millineum new years eve. She dropped off the bracelet to be cleaned at Janvier Jewelers in Aug. 2000, when she returned to pick it up, they had given it to someone else. They were the most inconsiderate jerks that we had ever dealt with. They threw us out of the store when we went back for a new bracelet or our money back,literally threw us out , called mall security and all. We ended up having to take them to court to get the money for a replacement bracelet. They had the nerve in court to try and say that the bracelet was worth less then we had payed for it because of "wear and tear". I would seriously recommend avoiding this store in the christiana mall at all costs. The customer will NEVER come first in this store!

I disagree with the negative responses to Janvier Jeweler's. I have dealt with them for years and have been treated courteously by all. I have not been dressed up going in there to have my jewelry cleaned or to purchase jewelry. I believe these people do not know what they are talking about. They obviously where in there at a busy time. The other person probably didn't even leave the bracelet there.

This is a response to the persons who submitted a negative comments about Janvier Jewelers in Christiana, DE.

It's funny how the people who wrote these didn't say what they did wrong. I as well as my mother have been loyal to Janvier for years and never have I experienced at any given time what theses customers experienced. Everyone was very helpful in my jewelry choices, friendly, and very professional.

Oh and for the record, I do not work for Janvier in any capacity. I am strictly a consumer. Furthermore, they are the only certified gemologist in the entire mall. You can go ahead and pay Bailey, Banks, and Biddle's outrageous prices but I guarantee that you will never receive the same quality and service that you will receive from Janvier.

You have a right to comment on your experience, however to do not embellish the moment by leaving out the wrong that I am sure occured by the pissed off customers who wrote the intial reports.

I have been in there twice, both times i was treated like absolute dirt because i wasn't clean shaven and wearing my sunday best, Their loss, the total of the two purchases they missed out on was $2,500. But just from my two experiences walking in the store the initial complaint sounds like most experiences of people I know who have been in there, and I would bet the two responses are from people with ties to Janvier's bottom line

I have dealt with Janvier Jewelers for years, from necklaces to bracelets, watches to engagament and wedding rings. They have been more than helpful with their service, and their products are quality. My wife and I have always been extremely happy with Janvier and will continue to shop there, even amidst false rip-off claims as listed above. Sounds to me as if this persons wife lost her bracelet and decided to blame the jewelry store for it.
I would highly recommend Janvier Jewelers to anyone looking for quality products and very reasonable prices.

My fiance and I have been long time customers of Janvier Jewelers. They special made my engagement ring. They are currently making my wedding band. They have repeatedly bent over backwards to assist in any purchase we had.

They have even done work on jewelry that I've recieved from family that was not purchased there for a truly MINIMAL fee.

I would highly recommend Janvier Jewelers to anyone. They are high class hard working jewelers who want to help! I have trouble believing that this could even happen knowing the type of treatment customers receive at Janvier.
