Jared Price Hes Back And Running As Happy Days Out Of Riverton Utah. New States, Oregon, Idaho, and Washington Riverton Utah
I am currently working with this guy, ( freelance photographer)and I see firsthand everything that everyone is saying. He loves to make everything bad that happens someone elses fault, anyone but him! He is currently late in paying me, and now instead of paying me as he normally would, he has found an alternative.
I am debating on whether or not to continue, because I have a sinking feeling in my gut. He has a way of making a person feel stupid and incompetent. He is a bully and he plays on your fears of losing your job. He is the king of lame excuses!
I have already spent about $10,000 on necessary expenses to help him screw me out of what he owes me and a job that I love. As the others have, I have kept very detailed records of all appointments past and future. He taught me to do that. I have a plan, and it might actually sting a bit. I'll keep everyone posted and let you know what happens. I might be overreacting (not likely) if I am on here there is definately something wrong.
Update: JP, he is also using the name Jared Price, Fired me again today, he did this last week also when sales were not what he thought they should be. Today, however, I accepted termination. He called me several times because he knew that I was going to be picking up money for him. I picked up money all right, He sent me a bogus check with a note that said "do not cash, deposit only" yeah right! This is the first time that he's been late paying me, when I asked why, he said that my check was so small, that he was just going to combine it with this week's check, (which I have not yet received either). Who does he think he is? My savings account manager? And get this! It's dated for september 30, 2002. That's 6 years ago! Seriously? All checks are void if not cashed within 6 months, unless otherwise stated on the check.
The good news is that I have hostages (things to hold until I get paid in full), and he broke the 12 month contract by firing me, and not paying me. I was not employed by JP, I was an independant contractor, and my own boss by law.
This is just starting for me so I am curious as to how smart does he actually think he is. I know for a fact I am more intelligent, have more integrity, and all of my daycares are writing me recommendations. I am not going to let them get ripped off by this guy.

Just so that we are clear, my contract was for a photographer, not a sales person. Jarrett Pratt or Jared Price, or whatever name you are using this week JP, made statement in his rebuttal, that he cancelled my contract because sales were low. This is simply not true. He cancelled my contract because I talked back to him, and out-smarted him. I stood up for myself, and he didn't like it. Then, he asked me to continue to work for him even after he sicked his useless lawyer on me, he had no case, he knew it, and that lawyer knew it. He had hired a salesperson the previous week, and I have the craigslist ad to prove it. Like I said, I saved everything. Your lies are catching up with you! you should quit while you are ahead dummy! You should have just stayed quiet and not responded here, but your ego just got the better of you, I guess! BIG FAT SHOCKER!
Here is the ad that I answered that clearly states that sales is optional, and JP was notified on August 20th that I was opting out of the sales position, and I gave him until Sept. 10, 2008 to find a sales person. I was told that this was impossible, and I continued to do sales for him just hoping that he would get the picture.

We are searching for photographers who are experienced working with children and are able to shoot 2 to 4 days per week.
This is a FUN, fast paced position where you will shoot 30 to 40 children in a day 8 poses each. This is a FUN, unique type of photography. You must have a muslin, lights, professional camera and backdrop stands. A larger vehicle (SUV or VAN) will be needed to haul the props that we will supply you.
Happy Days Photography specializes in antique phototography. We will supply you will all props and clothing to create a fun photography experience for the daycares, churches and schools that you will be shooting.
Shoots generally start about 8:00am and finish when all the children are done. (about 4:00pm) The shoots will be within a 2 hour drive. We do offer 0.35/mile for gas expense. This is a one year contract with NO down time. A non compete and non disclosure will need to be signed. You will have an option of becoming an employee or an independent contractor.
We suggest that you have an assistant that you can hire or we can hire for you.($8.00/hr) for the assistant.
Shoots start July 15th. Training will be in Boise for two days on July 10th and 11th.

I wasn't going to respond to the message you sent. However, I received a letter today from your children's father & due to it's content I felt that I needed too. First of all I would have never posted anything on this website had you not provided accurate information when you left on Thursday with J.P. Everything I learned about J.P. came from your mouth. You and your children shared the stories of your abuse that you endured in the last several months with J.P. I saw the fear in your children's eyes when they spoke of J.P. So, convince me on how he could make such a good father.
I understand that you don't want your personnel life publicized but you are doing the same to those that you called friends & family. I don't think you have any room to criticize Cory, Sandy, or Laura on their past when you yourself have a history of similar circumstances.
Honestly, I don't believe that Kelly wrote that letter herself. I know first hand how J.P. takes control of her. Plus to the comment that you insinuated about my life & me and bringing everyone around me down proves to me that you do not know me. I am confident that I am more of an honest person then you are or will ever be. Kelly you were the one who contacted Cory first and informed him of everything, the abuse stories, how you contacted chlamydia from J.P., & need to be tested periodically for H.I.V.
I will honor the request that you made to be left alone. I don't want anything to do with your lies and betrayal. You in the end could end up alone but for now as far as I am concerned you and J.P. deserve each other. It's called Karma!

These emails that I have posted here are from JP and the office of JP. They are in his words, and are copied straight from the emails that were sent to me on October 2, 2008 at all hours of the night. My phone # that I have listed here is for business. The people who have called me regarding these posts have all been perspective employees who have questioned the business practices of this business owner, JP. I tell them exactly what happened while I was working with JP, and let them decide for themselves if working with this photography company and someone like JP is worth what it will end up costing them. My words to them are in fact "The decision on taking the position is one that only you can make, but if I knew then what I know now, I would have made a different decision, because for me, it wasn't worth the brow beating I got from this man." I have been paid most of what is owed me, with the exception of $31.19, of which I took out in trade with a clothing rack worth $29.95. That I have posted here, but I have to wonder, if I hadn't done what I did to insure getting paid, would I have gotten paid? I, as well as JP, know the answer to that. You need to be very careful JP, I could post more emails, with facts on the brow beating that you gave me, and then later were proven to be unfounded, I believe it ended something like this "Oh Sheila, I feel like such a jerk now..." that is all I will reveal, but you know to which email I am referring. It's just business JP!

First of all I am very amazed how my personal life has gotten on a business ripoff report site in the first place. I am very happy with Jarrett. He is a good loving and caring man. He does not do all of the things that people have written about him. He wants only the best in life and to be happy. It seems to me that Jenn's life isn't all that its supposed to be so you go around and make others miserable right along with you. You obviously don't want me to be happy with someone that cares about me and my kids. Who wont hurt them and put them in any danger like their Cory or his sisters. Jarrett has never hit me or the girls he loves them like his own. I love Jarrett very much he is a good father to my kids. The girls dad Cory Leyba is currently incarcerated in the Utah State Prison for Meth charges, Stolen property and illegal weapons. He has also stabbed people and is no good. His sisters, Laura and Sandy are pot smokers and a TWEEKER who has gotten her kids taken away from and will never get them back because the mean very little to her. They have child neglect charges on them. This is not a life that I want for my kids or myself. I am with Jarrett to better my life and the girls life. Jarrett is a real dad to my girls and a dad that they never had before. Cory has never been there for his children. He cared more about going out and getting high and being with his friends than he cared about being with his own family. I do not want them to end up like Cory or his sisters. I currently live in Utah where I want to be left alone and be a happy family with Jarrett. Who I Love very much.

Hello,
All of this time I have been advised to not rebut anything but this has gotten way out of hand. First of all I have never ripped anyone off. It seems this has turned into a gossip colum. Sheila and everyone else has been paid. I am very sorry if I had to terminate your contract but sales were low.
Second, I have valid Tax ID #'s and have filed taxes yearly. The state of Arkansas is not looking for me, I called when you said that. I actually have no criminal record. I do NOT use drugs and am avery good gentle loving person. These postings have turned into a hate story filled with untrue and false statements. I am not sure why people in life feel it is OK to post lies and hurt others but I was raised to tell the truth and to not hurt anyone. I am sure that you will post again and if that makes you feel better then go ahead. I have nothing to hide. I live in Utah (STILL) and only want to live a happy peaceful life. I am sorry that anyone feels that I am running or hiding because that is not the case. Please feel free to call anytime if you have anything to say to me. I got the news on Thursday 2/05/09. Kelly got caught up with this guy & managed to escape his verbal & physical abuse in October. However, she has been in contact with him & he managed to convince her to go back with him & moved her and the kids to Florida. She gave no notice to anyone.We are deeply concerned of the safety of her children. Kelly told us the stories of his abuse to not only to her but, her four children. The kid's also spoke of the abuse. Everybody is concerned for her but also hurt that she has put her children in this situation again. What is she thinking? We have had no contact with them since they left. He won't allow her to speak to anyone in her family. I am afraid to think of what can or will happen to them. I know he is H.I.V positive & Kelly was to be tested again for it. If she didn't have it yet she will. If anyone hears of where they possibly could have relocated please notify me. Their father has rights to know where his children are & she never notified him of her intentions to move. She only left a note to her family saying she loved them & was moving to Florida with J.P. & no additional information. You have all read comments about his abuse & they are all true. I pray that nothing happens to those kids.

I have linked the new and old business and personal names along with website to this CROOK. He is sending emails to daycares telling them that he fired me because I stole from him. BIG FAT LIE! I have sent out a few emails of my own refuting this lie and clearing my name. I have included in these emails all of the links and every rip off report here. So, JP, hows that for Karma? I saved that text message also, you know, the one where you threatened me with "KARMA" because I refused to give back a bad check that Kelly Leyba wrote to me on your behalf, I feel very sorry for that woman, she must really love you, or be really stupid! I'm leaning toward the latter!
