Complaint Review: Jason Benjamin Attorney At Law

Jason Benjamin handled my ex-wife's divorce. I was at the time a well known Seattle area Pediatrician. Mr. Benjamin encouraged my ex-wife to file false CPS reports against me, and invented charges against me that I was a drug addict, a child abuser and had a history of domestic violence. He presented absolutely no evidence to support any of this. My children were taken from my (at the time) sole custody on the strength of these unsubstantiated accusations, and first placed with my ex-wife, and then placed in foster care awaiting trial.

I have learned this is a common and outrageous ripoff. What he does is to file a lot of false accusations, which cause the other parent to lose custody of the children. Since cases don't go to trial for over a year, or two in my case, he then blackmails you, continues to smear your name and reputation, and there is nothing you can do about it because purjury is permitted in Pierce County Superior Court (there has not been a complaint or prosecution for purjury in Pierce County Superior Court in over 20 years). In my case, I fought back, and wish I didn't. Even though I "won", as all the charges against me were invented and false, I lost everything, my children, my reputation, my house, and all my money.

It took two years for the case to go to trial. Meanwhile, I wasn't permitted to see my children. I lost my job as a Pediatrician, in a great part because of the stresses of the case, losing my children, and also his accusations, which severely damaged my reputation. I was at the time paying my ex-wife $4000 a month in spousal support. When I lost my job, Mr. Benjamin then claimed I abandonned my job, even though I had proof I was forced out by my partners, in a great part because of the false accusations I was fighting. I could no longer pay my spousal support, so Mr. Benjamin three times attempted to have me put in jail.

The case then gets very very strange. I ran out of money, and had to fight on without an attorney. I went to Court time and time again, always losing. I would not stop to defend my reputation and to regain custody of my children.

Several times Mr. Benjamin blatantly lied to Superior Court Judges, and he personally committed purjury numerous times. He knowingly filed false financial reports on behalf of his client. He made statements to the Court about me that I was making $600,000 a year, when I actually was on a medical disability for severe liver disease and making $80,000 a year. He did not simply mischaracterize or make trivial false statements but actually lied to Judges and I was helpless to do anything about it.

I presented to the Court a list of over 20 direct lies that he made to the Court, not just statements from his client that he was passing along.
At this point, it became very ugly. I had written my step-daughter a card encouraging her as she was having some issues and was briefly hospitalized. Mr. Benjamin somehow got ahold of the card, altered it, and presented in Court, claiming that I was sexually propositioning my step-daughter.
I now had him "dead to rights", so I thought. I had the original of the card, and could prove he presented false evidence to the Court.

However, I was soon to learn that purjury in Pierce County Superior Court is not considered a crime. Although judges looked at my evidence, and rejected my ex-wife's motions based on the falsified evidence, they declined to do anything about it. I complained to the State Bar, and after a 10 month investigation, they stated that his conduct was simply zealous conduct on behalf of his client.

But wait, there is more! Mr. Benjamin was sexually involved with my ex-wife, even before our divorce. He even wanted to have three way sex with us! This was one of the reasons for our divorce, was that my -ex-wife was having an affair with Mr. Benjamin. He then became sexually obsessed with me. After I became my own attorney, he would tell me things in the Court Hallways such as that he would drop the false charges against me if only I would have sexual relations with him! I was at the time a middle aged overweight man, who had remarried and was completely monogamous and heterosexual!

The Courts again and again ignored or declined to act on even his most outrageous behavior. All he had to do was show up and say that I was a drug addict and had a history of violence (all unsubstantiated, all untrue) and the Judges again and again ignored his conduct, no matter how outrageous.

They ignored the fact that I was (and am) a prominent Pediatrician in the community, without a single malpractice claim against me, in the same practice with the same office staff for 20 years, without a single blemish on my reputation until Mr. Benjamin colluded with my ex-wife to file false charges against me. These falsehoods overnight destroyed my reputation, my income, and my family.

I have not seen my children in over three years. They were Court ordered to have reconciliation counseling with me, but of course, my ex-wife refuses to allow it. The Guardian at litem issued a report agreeing with me and exonerating me. The Financial Master involved filed a report agreeing with me and exonerating me. Mr. Benjamin lied to the Court, filed false evidence against me, knowingly, to blackmail me. He bizarrely sexually harrassed me. He is an admitted bi-sexual, and trolls the Internet for couples under the name "NW A-Man". That is how my ex-wife met him. I first met him, before my ex-wife filed for divorce, at a party doing cocaine in the bathroom.
He offered me some. I have never used drugs, and had no idea what sort of party this was before my ex-wife dragged me to it. I thought it ironic that he filed false charges against me for being a drug addict.

I believe that he lures couples to "sex parties" just to find clients and satisfy his own very sick sexual needs.

I have no idea how the Courts permit this. I heard again and again from Judges that Family Court is all about the kids, yet they took my children from me on the basis of false accusations, put them in foster care as their mother was un-fit, destroyed our family, our finances, and then when I won again and again finally in Court, did nothing to the attorney who created these abuses.

I did not file this report until I read the other Ripoff Report about him. I hope everyone who reads this will contact Ripoff Report and get in touch with me. I am more than willing to attach my name, and publicly tell everyone what happened to me, as it is all true and I can document it all. I have already complained to the Superior Court Judges, in open Court and in filed Court papers, as well as to the Washington State Bar. I lost my children and my reputation. I don't want this happening to other families. My ex-wife was destroyed financially by all this as well, as when I lost my job and income and health, she in turn lost her home and was financially destroyed.

When will this outrage end! Is there no justice in Pierce County Superior Court? Every Judge there knows about my case, and yet they do nothing.
