Jasper engines and transmissions Jasper Transmission rip off Jasper, Indiana
Buyer be ware!
Bought a "Remanufactured Transmission 4 years ago for my Ford F-150. Only 20,000 miles on tranny. Solenoids went out. Found out from Ford transmission mechanic that Jasper does not always change the solenoids and you could, as I did, have original ones left in your transmission. Cost $800 more to get me back on the road. Mailed a letter to Jasper. Guess I will see what they say!

Dear Readers'
I received a phone call regarding my letter and Internet complaint. I congratulate Jasper for calling me. I gave the poor rep an ear full. He listened. Then basically told me I was SOL. I did some research and found that all rebuilders and remanufactures use old electronics if they still work! I think a remanufactured part should have remanufactured parts. Maybe I stupid?! At least give me the chance to have new parts put in at a cost. All I know is that I could have save 50% of the cost with a rebuilt tranny and paid my $800 for the solonoids and been way ahead. 20,000 on a remanufactured transmission stinks. But at least Jasper had the courtesy to hear me complain. That and an two quarters will get you a phone call. Thanks Jasper for listening. Next time I think I'll go with the cheaper rebuilt than a remanufactured!
