Complaint Review: Jay Frost

Mr. Frost was an agent and project manager for an investment company flipping a home I ended up purchasing. Repairs to the roof by a licensed roofing contractor were included as part of the conditions set forth in my offer to purchase the home. Mr. Frost stated his clients accepted the offer and the repairs would be done. As project manager for the "flippers" it was Mr. Frost's responsibility to hire and oversee the work being performed. Mr. Frost hired a painter by the name of Marco to do the roof repair. Marco has since confessed to me that he advised Mr. Frost to hire a licensed roofer as he did not feel comfortable with his skills to make the repairs. Mr. Frost went against this advisement and had Marco perform the repairs anyway. When I asked for the invoice and the contractor's license number, Mr. Frost submitted to me and my lender what I later found out to be falsified documentation. Needless to say, this all come to light after closing. My roof now has to be completely resurfaced at a cost higher than it would have originally cost to do. It is my strong recommendation to avoid purchasing a home that is listed by Mr. Frost. I guess it truly is "Buyer Beware" when you cannot trust someone who is in a position regulated and overseen by a government authority.
