I filled out an application for a payday loan and that is all. Upon clicking SUBMIT, the page refreshes and there are now two ads near the bottom. One for IDENTITY THEFT and one for something else. There are checkboxes that you would click if you were interested in receiving information or signing up for the service. The box for the ID theft is already checked!

Therefore, if you simply scroll past it (like most people do with annoying ads) and don't uncheck the box, then you just got scammed into signing up for bogus ID theft services and won't even know they stole $31.85 from your bank account until you receive your statement. They justify doing this by saying that I did authorize them to debit the account because the box was checked.

I still stick to my own opinion that a real, legit, and respectable business that cared for their customers would make the checkbox BLANK and let people DECIDE for themselves whether or not they want to sign up. This company is a complete and total SCAM and good luck trying to reach a supervisor. All you get are woman that cannot speak a word of English. I directly asked for a supervisor by the name of Joann Adams and was told I could not speak to her before giving my social security number. I insisted that I was not a customer and that my concern was personal. She still refused to transfer me and said that her supervisor was unavailable and to call back in 15 minutes.

So, I did only to be transferred 4 times to different reps after being put on hold each time for over 10 minutes. I finally said to give Joann my cell number and to have her call me back. The rep said they were not allowed to make outgoing calls. I insisted that surely a supervisor has this ability and that if I did not receive a call back by tomorrow, that I was calling the police. She threatened me in a way by telling me to go ahead, and file a case that my identity was stolen but once it's traced back to my IP, there's nothing I can do to get my refund.

Nice company, huh?

SCAM ARTISTS!!!
