We bought a new luxury Jayco Northpoint fifth wheel. We have only had it for about two months and it has under 1k miles on it. We noticed in Indiana that one of the tires was nearly shredded and quickly brought it to a dealership that agreed to inspect it right away in Indiana. The dealership has been very kind and helpful, but it may take a month to get a replacement axle. They diagnosed that the axle was bent which caused the tire to shred and that it had come defective as there were no signs of other damage indicating that an accident caused this.

Jayco told us these things happen and we just need to be patient. They did not agree to cover the cost of our food and lodging while we wait. I find this unacceptable. We paid about 80k for this rig and we should not have to wait around for a month far from home with no compensation while they resolve this...whenever they get around to it.
