Originally, JBC & Assoc. contacted me by mail, and stated that I had bounced a check to an Orm-Marlin Cross made in Arizona back in 1995, using a Bank of America checking account. I never lived in Arizona in 1995, I resided in Missouri, I had never heard of this company before, and I have never banked with Bank of America. After 3 to 4 letters of increased amounts of payments that I supposedly owe them, they have now changed the original store to a BEST BUY 219, instead of Orm-Marlin Cross, and this store is actually in Oklahoma City, OK. I believe the Arizona Statutes of Limitation is 6 years, and it is almost 9 years past. Through much research, I have found that this company is a major scam and is not a legitimate law firm, with various false addresses and lawyers. There have been numerous complaints and law suits pended against them, and they are trying to illegally extort money and threaten thousands of innocent and naive people from their hard earned money for debts that may have never occurred. I have contacted the Arizona Attorney General, the Federal Trade Commision, the Better Business Bureau, the FBI, the United States Postal Inspector, and the Bar Associations of each state that JBC supposedly claims that they have offices and lawyers. Please inform me if you have had other complaints with this company, JBC & Associates. I would like to see what else I can do, to stop innocent human beings of the extortion, verbal and written torture that they have to receive from this, what I feel, are the biggest Terrorist Group in America.

I have the same thing happening to me. I contacted the company whom JBC says I owe money to. THey have NO records what so ever on me and no information of me ever owing this money. We have filed with the B.B.B. and I have also sent JBC a Letter of dispute and they say they can't provide me with documentation of such allegation. The company, whom JBC says I owe, is willing to file any lawsuit against them.

JBC is generally regarded as the most abusive debt collection firm in the United States. Employees are trained to systematically lie, cheat and steal. The owner of the company is Jack Boyajian. He is currently under state and federal investigation.
JBC used to be called National Check Control (NCC). The name change was made necessary when NCC was raided by the FBI and shut down. Boyajian simply moved the operation and changed its name. It is believed that he is currently in the process of moving the entire operation off-shore where he will be beyond the reach of U.S. regulators. If he is successful in this move, there will be no stopping JBC's abusive tactics.
