Complaint Review: JBL A/C SERVICE & AIR DUCT CLEANING

Like many on this website, I too was fooled out more than $500.00 by this rip-off company. I called for a dryer vent cleaning for $39.00. I was told their would be an extra charge if they needed to go through the roof. I said to go ahead and do whatever is necessary to fix the dryer vent as my dryer has been proven by several technicians to be fine, just in need of a clear exhaust. They brought in their equipment, sucked up a little bit of lint and said the dryer vent actually looked pretty good...BUT, he noticed I had pets and he would check out my A/C as a "nice guy" just to see if there was anything I should be aware of, since they were already in the house. He placed a pen-looking thing in my a/c and said if it turned purple in a few minutes I had mold. Well, of course, it turned way purple and then came the bait and switch with the scare techniques. "Well, madam, I won't charge you for the dryer vent if we take care of you mold problem." $561.75 later my dryer vent is still clogged and when I called customer service they said they would have to charge me $99.00 to clean it through the roof since they originally did not charge me for the "regular" dryer vent cleaning!!!! The nerve!! Oh, and of course their records show that I called originally for A/C vents... a FLAT OUT LIE!!! Wow! These guys are BIG TIME SCAMMERS! I will follow up with a letter to their president Lior Boyaster (according to Lenny, their customer service rep) and to the Better Business Bureau and to the Doral Home magazine where I saw their ad.
