I called for a simply air duct cleaning -- Home Mag advertisement.  They hooked up the cleaning mechanisms and took the apart for an inspection.  I was then told that I could fix problem by paying $750 for AC cleaning.  When refused, the price miraculously dropped to $500 within seconds. I was told there was a Freon leak.  Then I was offered a UV Ray allergy eliminator apparatus ($500) and special filter ($150).  The service men were not embarrassed that the $500 revisited estimate was overpriced.  I have serviced my AC annually for less than $200.  They inquired about the price I've paid other companies -- no business of theirs.  They also made many references that if I had paid them $1,150 for everything that it would be less than the cost of a new unit.  Actually, I am not so retarded that I dont remember what my unit costs -- I built the house.  In addition, they suggested that I simply charge it -- AC repairmen are in no position to assist me with money management.  They are lucky I paid anything -- out of sorrow for their unprofessional ignorance.  This company is a scam and likely does this to people who may be an ignorant.  It is unethical and typical of jerks.  This is what America's corporate bankruptcies are made of -- greedy shysters with moronic policy and practices.  I called another AC company days later to finish the leaky pan in my AC for $50 -- shame on me for paying these vultures anything in the first palace.  I knew that I was being raped of monies during the sales pitches.  They will never hear from me again, but my friends will know all about them.

In the end, there was no freon repair and or leak.  This was a mere dust cleaning of the fan versus "Oh, my god there's mold and mildew.  This is bad".  My water pan was left clogged with algea (not touched, but was the problem) and trash and the leak percsisted.  They were too lazy to take out the coil and clean it -- the problem.  The Better Business Bureau only received a kind false professional, stating the pricing was fair.  What a joke -- how can a $39 coupon result in $1K, then $500???????

Beware, unless you liked getting the shaft!
