JC Christensen And Associates Rude, calling before 7 in morning, fraudulent collection information Sauk Rapids Minnesota
I received my first call from J.C. Christensen after two unpaid bills from St Mary's Medical Center in Duluth, MN. The first idiot I talked to tried to tell me that if I did not pay the $120.00 that I owed that I would not be allowed to go into the emergency room in case of an emergency. I promptly hung up on him. I called back when my temper was cooler and spoke to someone else.
I have never received any official notices from them (even though St Mary's was able to get me my bills) They call me at 6 or 7 am every morning which is against the state of Wisconsin laws for collecting. Altogether a bad business.

Get the evidence..Tape the calls..file a complaint with FTC.Gov
#2Consumer Suggestion

I would suggest the following. File a complaint with FTC.Gov. Then file a complaint with wisconsin department of financial institutions. Invest the equipment to tape these bozo's. You need to prove that they are calling prior to 8am. The expense is about 50.00. Check out bud hibbs.com. Check out the Naca
attorney's. I have one.
If you want to piss them off real bad. Mail a check to the hospital. Use a money order or a cashier check. The hospital may share your account no. with the collection agency. Send them a letter requesting proof of the debt. This will slow them down.
If they file suit. Pay the 70.00 for the jury. That should set them off in a tail spin.
Bottomline get the proof. Pass it on to WdfI. you need to somehow prove that they are calling at that time of morning. Caller ID box may help.
Its a 1,000 per violation. so let that phone ring and cash in on the money.
I know its not that easy.
Do not let them know that you are taping. In Wisconsin only one party must be aware of the taping.
Naca lawyers are great. They work with you to get the evidence. Then they make take the case on a contingency basis.
