I called and requested a really good, experienced stylist for a hair perm that understands fine hair! They gave me a girl by the name of Robin. I took the time to explain what I wanted (a curly perm, volume). She highly recommended their new perm that she felt was exactly what I needed. Long story short....she never, ever checked my processing.
When completed, she did not finish my hair. I told her I did not want to go home w/wet hair, so she slightly dryed it and could not do anything with it.
After 3 days, I washed my hair and it was severely damaged, even after I conditioned it. Hair fell out and I called the salon.

I called the salon, went back to see the manager and she gave me products to take home and use on my hair. This did not work and after I called again I saw another salon manager who wanted to cut my hair. I cried, but agreed to only the ends.

I went back a few more times. She agreed it was very damaged and refunded my money. They also gave me a wig as it was so bad. I requested their insurance company to file a complaint as I have OCD, Body dysmorphic disorder and PTSD. I was traumatized!

I remained housebound as I was so self concious. The wig turned out to be not something I was comfortable wearing. I also have hypothyroidism so my hair is growing very slowly and is still somewhat damaged. AIG has not acknowleged responsibility and claims I have dry hair. Even though JC Penney did admit responsibility their insurance has insulted me and treated me like it was my fault. I have been trying to come to some sort agreement, but they will not conform. I even sent letters to their CEO, VP and legal department to no avail..I am deeply depressed over this and am on antidepressants. I feel they are responsible for this damage and my mental anguish.

One on my clients told me about this report. What a mean thing to do. The salon went way out of their why to make her happy. She returned with freshly colored hair(home color). At that point they should have stopped, but being a customer service salon. The store went out of their way to make her happy. OCD and her other problems (Look them up) nothing would have made her happy. But slamming a great stylist like Robin. Is that going to make her feel better. Im glad she wasnt in my chair. I feel she used our salon. Beware other salons.
