JC Whitney theft of credit information ripoff La Salle Illinois
It's good to realize I am not the only one this has happened to. I have not contacted JC Whitney yet and it looks as if it will not do me much good. I was signed up by them for 5 different programs. 4 of these were consumer programs that I did not agree to at all and all of them refunded my money after many minutes spent trying to convince me to keep their services. One of them was a company to call if your credit cards are stolen. I don't even have one credit card, why would I need that service? All of these companies were able to point me to JC Whitney as the source of my supposed order of their services.
The fifth was the same magazine deal someone else mentioned. I never agreed to accept even trial subscriptions and they were magazines I would never have chosen to begin with. I just started recieving them with no clue why until I checked my bank account a few days ago and found charges for $100 for 3 magazines. Two of them told me point blank they were ordered through a partnership program, but could not name it. They also said they are recieving hundreds of angry phone calls from people like myself.
I would be interested in any class action suit anyone may have against JC Whitney, or any other type of action against them. Whatever you do, do NOT give any bank or credit information to this company. Order your parts from a reputable dealer.

I ordered some parts through JC Whitney a few years ago, but changed one letter in my last name. Before long I was receiving all sorts of junk mail under the mistaken name, including ads for porn. I know who did it to me, and since then I haven't ordered anything from them, just for that reason.
