JC Whitney USA Parts Placed 2 orders, Both were stated in stock, recieved email that they were not. Internet, Internet
On Wednesday May 24th 2012 at 3:07 AM, I ordered a set of Heavy Duty Leaf Springs for my 82' CJ7 from JC Whitney over the internet. The cost was $239.77 with $20.00 overnight shipping. I received a confirmation email that the order had been placed shortly after. At 1:21 PM that afternoon I received an email stating the springs were not in stock and a refund was issued. Now my bank had a hold on the amount and it will take 3 days to release the funds.
I called and spoke to a CSR at 2:45 PM about the issue and he stated he was sorry about the inconvienence and offered to ship out a set of higher priced springs at the same price. Great! I placed the order and he assured me that the springs would be shipped out that day. Everything was good until 4:41 PM.
At that time I received an email stating that the springs that should be shipping out were out of stock and a refund had been placed. This now tied up another $234.00 until my bank releases the hold. I called and spoke to another CSR and she could not get it through her head that even though they only put a hold on my card instead of charging it, I still could not use my money for a few days.
I asked to speak to a supervisor and she kept trying to explain the same thing. At the end of out conversation, she offered to order me a set of springs that were in stock and stated she would give me a 10% discount. Like I am going to let them try again.
