First, I need to confess that I work there. Not in the salon though I will add. I moved recently from 1000 miles away in a city, to this retirement community. This is a small store that isn't very clean and trys to appeal as classy to match the other locations. It hasn't happened yet. On my day off I called the salon to ask how much it would be to get my roots touched up (I have only a partial foiled head, Dark underneath, lighter brown on top w/blonde highlights). The woman on the phone answered that it would be $45.

I make an appointment and when I get there I said I was pleased that it would be this reasonable price (should've kept my mouth shut) because after all, I work at Jcpenney-need I say more! Then the stylist added that $45 would only touch up a root here and there and it wouldn't look finished and that it would hold me over till I could get it done right when I have $95 she says. She said right now that if I spent $70 today that she could make it look finished. I agreed to the finished looked.

I spent way more than I wanted to. When I got home I noticed that she had done my entire head of highlights which wasn't what I wanted (wanted partial). It's fried and destroyed, I'll have to cut it shoulder length now. Worst of all is that after I washed and styled it a couple times later I still have skunky 3 inch roots that she missed in places so I have to part it certain ways to look of any class.

I feel like they've turned me into one of "them" and robbed me in the process. Like another woman said on here, I never said anything because I'm not assertive. I almost feel as bad for these peolpe as I do myself.
P.s. They will hire anybody and won't fire anybody. They're always short of help.

The department I work, there are many girls my age and a little younger that don't dress according to code and represent the store poorly. They use profanity regularly (F--- being #1), even with poor innocent customers within an arms reach. It's sad to see since I've seen their store somewhere else where management expected more. There's little hope that any customer could leave here satisfied.

Jcpenny is a good company

JC penny is a good company. I'm one of the employee and stylist. I'm proud to be in this family.Salon's hair problem which customers can always feel free to talk to the stylist and schedule a new appoinment for free to fix it. You can type in "Lawsuits to ( name of the companies or salons)" in the search of web site and go to Better Business Bureau (BBB)to search and NYC stock market. ONLY THE GOOD COMPANY CAN STAND THE TEST OF TIME. It's established in 1902 from a small company to now, a sizeble company all over the states and a lot of employees.I'm thankful for what I have. They are good to me. I'll think twice if I want to leave to any company.
