I started shopping at JCPenney back in the 1970's when they still had corner department stores. I've had a JCPenney card for some 20 years. I've never had trouble with them before. I ordered a GE stove/refrigerator and washer/dryer from them in November 2016. The first problem was they delivered a week late. I then discovered that JCPenny only takes orders for appliances on behalf of GE who sends the appliances to rasdelivers.com. Rasdelivers sent two meximoron thugs who looked like gang members and barely spoke english to deliver and install the appliances. The stove had a huge brown stain on the bottom. It looked and smelled like someone had used it for a toilet. The refrigerator sounded like it was ready to blow up. One installer crushed the exhaust hose for the dryer and broke the washer/dryer closet door and left the water lines leaking. The other one stole a bottle of oven cleaner. I talked to a baboon at JCPenney who laughed at me as I explained what had happened. It took nearly a month for rasdelivers to come back and pick up the appliances and another month for JCPenney to credit my account. JCPenney billed me $349.00 for a restocking fee and refused to compensate me for the damaged closet door. Buyer beware! If you order a General Electric appliance from JCPenney and rasdelivers does the delivery, make sure you have a camera running in case they break or steal something. You've been warned!
