My Ford Ranger went bad. (Which they took as a trade in) Needed another vehicle fast. Went to JDByrider. Biggest mistake I ever made.

Payments were automatically taken from my checking account. Changed job's March 2007. JDByrider refused to work with me on due date of payments. Told them no more checking account deduction cause it would bounce the account I would be in to make the pyts around the 15th and last day of the month.

On 3-14, 3-20, 4-2, 4-10, 4-23, 4-27, 5-8, 5-11, 5-22, 6-7, 6-13 this company was called me wanting their payment.

On 3-15 my employer sent them a letter stating my pay periods were the 15th and the last day of the month. I was willing to do payroll deduction if they would change my payment due date. On 3-20 my employer said that JD Byrider refused to work with us.

On 6-21 I was told to make pyt. or they'd come get the car. I was mad and told her: The keys were in the glove box come get the d**n car and leave me the hell alone. They never come and got the car.

On Friday the 13th of July, 2007 my brother followed me down to the car lot the corner of W Tusc and Wertz Ave, Canton OH and parked the car on the side of the building and put the keys in the drop box.

On July 16th I was told to come in and sign release paper's on the car.

On 7-28-07 I received Repossession Notice letter. I went to the insurance agent, she asked to make a copy of the letter they sent me and said there was still insurance on the car till 7-31-07 and when did I sign release papers on the car. I told her July 16, 2007.

I also filed a complaint against JD Byrider and never received a response.

On 7-30, 8-2, 8-6, 8-8, 8-10, 8-14, 8-17, 8-24, 8-28 and 8-31 I would either get message on the answering machine or spoke to a salesman asking if I wanted to come in about a vehicle. Finally I told them "Don't call here again or I'll press charges. You are crooks and I will never deal with you people again. Stop calling this number." On 9-7-07 no more phone calls.

On March 15-17, 2008 my brother found a house and we moved into it. I had to work and several family member's helped my brother move when I was at work. In the process a bag was lost. It contain all my paperwork, work sheets for my clients, bank statements, pictures and documentations on my appliances.

What upsets me the most regarding this case is my daughter and her husband got a vehicle through JD Byrider and they never did anything to them. Also, my brother got a truck through them and it was turned back in because the front end kept breaking down on it and again JD Byrider never bothered him.

I work part time now due to health issues. I live with my brother and drive one of his vehicles. I can't even afford to buy my own car. The truck I was recently driving I had to turn in because I didn't make enough money. The car that was in my name my brother took over the pyts on it because I couldn't afford the $200 a month payments on it.

Now this company is trying to garnish my wages for a vehicle I turned back in and they've already resold. Now I truly understand why Society is the way it is. Having to deal with Crooks like this.

A man of your word???

So you walked into Jdbyrider with horrible credit, little job time, little or no money down right?.....you asked JD Byrider to help you purchase a vehicle right? In which they obliged right? Now who do you think paid JD Byrider for your car? CNAC right? So, JD Byrider sold you the car, CNAC paid JD Byrider for the car which created your loan. You signed loan papers stating you were a man of your word and would pay in full and on time. This doesn't mean only if you don't change jobs or if you lose your wallet etc...pay in full on time every time means just that. Just because you gave the car back to JD Byrider does not excuse you from the contract that you signed. CNAC already paid for your car now you owe THEM.

CNAC is under no obligation to alter your contract in any way and due to your hastefullness and irrational behavior (dropping the vehicle off because they want their payments) does not give you the right to now owe the money. Lets say this; suppose you loaned me $50 to go to the movies and after i get the $50 I decide I'm not going to the movies after all, do I not owe you the money now because I didn't go to the movie? It's the same thing, you asked CNAC to borrow money and didn't pay them back.

Further, what does the fact that you or your brother moved into a house and you lost a bag of personal paperwork have to do with CNAC? How are they to blame for that? Certainly you're not saying that if CNAC would have worked with you and broke the contract and allowed you to pay late then none of that would have happened.

As far as garnishing your wages, they have every right and SHOULD garnish EVERY consumer who asks for help and credit then screws THEM over by not paying and dropping off the cars, storming off pouting like big babies. If consumers would pay their bills then maybe the economy wouldn't be in such dire straights. I understand that losing or changing jobs can be stressful and can cause some financial strain while waiting for your first full pay etc. but why is that CNAC's fault? If you loaned someone $10,000 and you had to constantly keep up with their job changes, late payments and cussing YOU out on the phone every time you call for your money, wouldn't YOU get sick of it? Put yourself in the finance companies shoes for once. Stop blaming others for "your" (everyone) disfunctional, unstable life.

Since you are so detailed on every call they made to you. What were the dates of your payments from March through when you turned the car in.

they come to your house, your place of work, harass family and friends and your'e telling the poor guy that got screwed to be "honorable"
people should never, ever, ever do business with jd badrider at all! or any of their other aliases like car credit,etc...
go back to bed junebird, your not a help to anyone here,in fact i think your a shill for the company.
when people are desperate for a dependable vehicle to get back and forth, the last thing they need is more headaches, less money, and wondering when "goons" are gonna show up at their place of work!
It's easy to be smug when things are going good. Wait til your pushed into a corner and i'll bet your gonna remember my advice.
be compassionate, someday you may be between a rock and a hard place. It happens to the best of us.

You borrowed money from CNAC to buy a car from JD Byrider. Abandoning your car at the sales lot does not erase the loan. You made a promise to pay the loan back, now stop whining and keep your word. If you were more responsible you wouldn't have bad credit in the first place.
