Of all the people to rip off- they sure chose the right ones huh?? (Poor and not so good credit) So then they are almost sure to get away with it-- or so that is there plan anyway.

Let me start by saying I am a single mother of 3 children (1 with severe disability). Believe me the last thing I wanted or needed was a car payment, however I had lent my already paid in full car to a friend (of course only had liability insurance) and my car was totalled. She did pay me $1000.00 for my car. So here I was in desperate need of a vehicle and off to JD I went.

Not only do they jump the gun on your purchase they even tried to tell me which vehicles I could get. I put $500.00 down and was working full time at the time. I purchased a 1994 Chevy Corsica from them. Sticker was around $7,000.00.

How in the hell they got away with selling a vehicle that was obviously never ever inspected- however they claimed it was is beyond me. When I drove my vehicle off the lot it had the following problems (which by the way I was promised would be fixed asap)

1. Muffler - Extremely Loud and in desperate need of repair

2. Front end obviously in a wreck - even rust in the spot that
was damaged

3. When took for test drive with salesman at 55mph car would
act like it wasnt getting gas- somehow like stalling,
pausing, and definately front end shook.

4. Tires were all BAD

I was promised by salesman all these things would be taken care of asap. I made several appointments to get them repaired--they claimed nothing was wrong- after purchase they treated you like CRAP BIGTIME.

So after I replaced tires, battery, waterpump, alternator, and many other items. I was upset. And due to my disabled child lost my job. Then could not keep up with payments. Awaiting a sum of money for sons disability I called them to find out pay off amount and it is over $10,000.00 this is after all payments I had made- but because of missing some the interest was rediculous.

Anyway not the point at all point is the d**n car wasnt worth $3,000.00 at the time of purchase, these people take advantage of the disadvantaged!! I think they should pay for what they have done. I mean they know d**n well when they sell people with bad credit that they probably don't have money- they have absolutely no interest in finding out if you can afford your payments- just so you have a job- they repeatedly sell- reposses and resell to all!! Leaving everyone owing them money and leaving thereselves with lots of money and repeated sales.

So I give up -- MY Vehicle was REPOSSESSED 2 DAYS AGO - I have 15 days to come up with $3500.00 to get my vehicle back. Yeah right like that will happen. Looking at the paper there are many vehicles for less than $3000.00 that are at least 2 yrs newer than the one I had. I hope they pay for what they have done to us. We need to fight them back. I think there should be a class action suit agains them. For all of us.

still no excuse for Byrider to be allowed to stay in business

While I agree, people should have their used cars checked out before they get them, JD Byrider should not be allowed to victimize or lie to these people. They are selling these cars for about three times more than what they are worth, which is extremely unreasonable, and these cars have many things wrong with them to boot. They are an unreputabe company, and I hear many horror stories from people that were desparate for transportation, and desparate for a car.

With all these horror stories, its a wonder that they are still in business. Its a wonder they are allowed to stay in business with their unreasonable practices.

Right now, CNAC are close to suing a friend of mine. What they don't know is that he is what the courts consider "judgement proof", and all they'll be able to do is wallpaper their bathroom with their judgement. He is on early retirement due to his disabilities, and gets less than $700. Let them waste their money and time. They deserve it.

Why Is This Taking Advantage?

I cannot believe that you are blaming the dealer for your own stupidity! You bought the car. You knew it was damaged and/or in bad shape AND YOU STILL BOUGHT IT! Whose fault is that? Nobody forced you to buy the car. So how is that taking advantage?

Why, when you knew all these things were wrong, you still bought the car is beyond me. Sure, you can say that they promisd to repair these things, but that still doesn't change the fact that is was a piece of junk even if they were fixed AND YOU STILL BOUGHT IT. Oh, and did you get any of those promises in writing? I didn't think so. How does the service department know you didn't damage the car after you bought it?

If you found many other vehicles in the paper now that are newer/cheaper than the one you bought, why didn't you buy one of them? How come you did research after the fact but didn't investigate anything before? And because you didn't investigate the market before, it's now someone else's fault?!!!

Here's what you said..."they have absolutely no interest in finding out if you can afford your payments- just so you have a job- they repeatedly sell- reposses and resell to all!!"

So it is now everyone else's job to make sure you are mature and responsible enough to borrow money? That is what YOU are there for! It is for YOU to decide what you can afford and are able to pay back! Just because on paper, you can afford "X" amount of dollars, nobody else knows your situation but you. You are the only one who can make that decision. Obviously, you learned nothing from your bad credit before and just think that it's everyone else's fault because they lent you the money!

It is people like you that give America a bad name. Grow up, take responsibility for your own actions, and stop blaming everyone else for your own mistakes! You said you hope they pay for "what they have done to us." Well, I hope you someday pay for what you have borrowed!

And because you have a disabled child, are a single mother, etc., has absolutely nothing to do with it. If you want pity for your situation, fine. I feel sorry for you. But don't pull that crap that you were ripped of because of it! You could have been a millionaire and wouold have still been ripped off because you didn't do your homework and bought a piece of junk anyway.
