JD Byrider (CNAC) Ripoff and Liars Indianapolis Indiana
My husband and I purchased a car through JD Byrider in January and we have had little problems with it. Things like the brakes and struts needed replaced but them looked and them and fixed them for free so we thought this was a pretty good deal until we had to deal with the "loan company" which is CNAC (Car Now Acceptance Corp)they are located in the same building as Jd Byrider. So basically they are a buy here pay here place but got a little fancy and decided to actually name the loan company something else.
So anyway my husband and I decided to move out of state and we paid our payments on time till one week we forgot. I remmbered but they were closed (that was Saturday when the payment was due) I called Monday but it was closed, time difference, So come Tueday I recieved a email from my mother that says she received a phone call from JD Byrider and they told her our car payment was 2 months behind that they are going to repo the car and they needed to speak to use now. Well let me start by saying that this car payment is due every 2 weeks and if we were 2 months behind that would be 4 payments. Maybe its just me but if it was that behind I know I would have been calling alot sooner. But never the less I called my payment in that day and they said they never told anyone that and even if they did the results worked so that lets me know they most defintantly did say that. I made that payment and the I was mad but got over it because what am I gonna do about it?
Then come April 24th I call to get my payment extended that was due on May 3rd till May 10th and he says no problem I even update my info and such as address phone # new insurance ect. Well today May 5th I recieve a phone call that my payment is late and since there is no grace period for my car payment they are going to repo it if they havent recieved their payment. I am mad I call and Evon informs me no notes were made about extending the car payment. So I let them know I called and what date she tells me yeah we know you called to update your info but not to extend your car payment because I am your account rep and you would have had to talk to me. So I ask to speak to Hector (the person I spoke with on April 25th) and he processed to tell me I remmber the conversation to update your info but I dont remember anything about the payment being discussed. So can anyone let me know why would I call one week before my car payment is due and update my info wouldnt I have just waited till that next Friday when I called to make the payment and due it then? Yes.
And for all those out there who think I am a bad customer I have all my payments recorded and my contract so you can see I have been late once and then this time and I called to let them know,It happens.but for them to call me a liar and do all this when the results were the same I am still going to pay them Friday and now I hate this company. You can call me deliqant all you want I was but dont call me a liar I called. So for everyone who is thinking about buying a car from JD Byrider beware. They use any and all tactics to embarass you and call you anything because they know you are screwed you have to pay for this car unless you fall off the face of the earth.

I have bought a car from JD and had it for two years there has been everything wrong with it. I have put more into the car then it is worth and it still needed even more. The last straw was that the motor blew on it so we had the car towed to a dealer and we traded it in I wasn't going to have a rebuilt motor for 3000 in a car not worth it. I was never late on my payment they even wanted me to come back after I called about the motor blowing and buy a new one they may have suckered me once but that will never happen again that car was awful after a few months. My cousin bought a car there right before me that is why I went there and she has had to put in more money in her car than I have had. I hope they go out of business they should not be able to defraud anyone else. We should be able to depend on our transportation. I will never let anyone I know buy from that place again.

I work for Jdbyrider in Delray Beach, and i just wanted to let everyone out there know that what is described above is not the way we do business. I also want to point out that the pompano store is no longer a jdbyrider. They still had up the jdbyrider signs last time i drove by, but they in no way represent jdbyrider and how we do business. I can't speak for what goes on in pompano, but i can say that if you would like to get a good car and deal with some nice people, than you should stop by jdbyrider in delray beach. Again, just to make sure everone understands. The store in pompano is not a jdbyrider anymore.

I THOUGHT THAT JDBYRIDER ADVERTISES IN HELPING PEOPLE BUILD THEIR CREDIT ,,,BUT AS YOU FIND OUT THAT THEY ARE NOTHING BUT A RIPOFF..OK MY STORY IS THAT I TOOK MY OTHER CAR AND TRADED IT IN ..THEY GAVE ME 500.00 FOR IT PLUS I HAD TO PAY 200.00 IN CASH AND ALSO COME UP WITH WHAT THEY CALL A DEFERRED DOWN PMT OF 500.00 I TRADED FOR A 1994 AEROSTAR VAN WHICH DONT GET ME WRONG I HAD TO MAKE 3 TRIPS THERE TO HAVE THEM FIX SOME MINOR THINGS NOW ALL THAT IS PAID UP ...AND I MISTAKENLY LOOKED ON MY CONTRACT WHICH MY PMT WAS DUE OF 10/04/03 I THOUGHT IT WAS DUE ON THE 8TH AND DID YOU KNOW THAT ON SAT 10/11/03 I CALLED THEM WHICH BEFORE THE 11TH I HAD TRYED CALLING THEM TO TELL THEM TO TAKE OUT OF CREDIT CARD ..AND THEY FORGOT THEN ON SAT 10/11/03 WHEN I CALLED THEM TO TELL THEM THE PMT WOULD BE THERE ON MON A.M WHEN THEY OPEN UP BECAUSE BY THE TIME I GOT OFF WORK ON SAT 10/11/03 AT 5:30 P.M THEY INFORMED ME THAT THEY CLOSE AT 6:00P.M.
