In June 2008 my husband and I were looking to get a mini van however our credit although improving was still not great. We went to Jd Byrider with my husbands car to use as a trade. The service that they provide to customers is amazing. The worst experience I have ever had.

First of all JD Byrider takes advantage of people. They know that people come to them because we need to improve credit so right there they have you. We were at the one in Easton. My husband and I just wanted to look around at cars to see what they had available. However we were stopped by a sales woman. Apparently you are not even allowed to browse cars on their lot without going through the paperwork first. Only for them to say"Ok this are the choices of cars". We explained that we did not have no more than 300.00 down payment and the trade of my husbands 97 monte carlo Z34. They said that was great, they would look over the trade.

We saw a woman go and sit in the monte carlo, write down the mileage and get out. Never opened the hood, never even started the vehicle. Just sat in the front seat, Thats it. That is how they do your trade. We were purchasing a 2000 plymouth voyager. We kept asking the sales lady if she knew how much they were giving for the monte carlo, she kept repeating the paper work is not done. To make a long story a little shorter, when we got to the finance table with CNAC, we were told they were only giving us about 300 for the monte carlo and that was after most papers were signed. Than even though we told them we could only afford 300 down and they said it would work. Somehow at the finance table we got roped into having to put an additional 1200 down which could be paid in 1 month time. So what exactly is this company about except for taking advantage of people who are trying to get back on track.

We also have a 2004 Impala that we have financed for 3 years now faithful payments and that is with CPS. There was a time right after Christmas when my husband was ill from work in January. He is the sole provider in our house and I take care of our children. Our payment was due and the paycheck was not enough to buy groceries and pay the van. I called CNAC up and explained that I could get documents from the dr and his employer that he was out of work. I asked if I could give them a post dated payment for the very next Thur. so that I could buy groceries for my kids. I was instructed they have a "Zero Tolerance" and I needed to make that payment immediately. I explained to them I have two choices I can feed kids or pay for van. I asked to make half payment, shot down. I even said I would make double payment and bring post dated check to them, shot down. Instead I was told I can take my kids to a shelter to eat or go to a church for donations. I did not need to go to a church for donations to get me through one week. They would rather you beg at a church and take food from people who have no homes or cars than to defer a payment one week. They told me that I would have to make other arrangements for my children but they have a zero tolerance. It is amazing how they stress the zero tolerance. Well the consumers should start having a zero tolerance policy and stop purchasing from Jd Byrider no matter how desperate. We should do something about CNAC and Jd Byrider, because they are feeding on people who are trying to get ahead in life. I am paying off my loan enough that I can trade the van in and be done with that company.I know I am going to have to put a lot more money down and will be rolling over into new car, however I would rather do that they deal with those 2 companies. Anyone with any advice that I can do to take matters even further please let me know and I will be more than happy to do it..

I am another person affected by this company I happen to be affected by the same location as you. I think maybe if we all put our heads together maybe we can shut this company down. I'd like to leave my email address but I do not want to recieve any threating or harassing emails so I feel we should talk through here. If your intrested in teaming up let me know

You had every opportunity to NOT get into this deal. If the trade in value for this 12 year old car was not what you wanted, then why didn't you WALK OUT???

This dealership specializes in selling cars to people with sub-prime credit. YOU have BAD CREDIT. Accordingly, their interest rate is higher (to cover their losses) and they manage accounts more carefully because their customers have a HISTORY OF NOT PAYING THEIR BILLS!

Maybe in the future your credit will improve, IF you start paying your bills on time!

Owning a car isn't a right. If you can afford one then you can get one.

When YOU sign a CONTRACT, you are saying "I know all about the terms of this deal and I AGREE to make every payment on time, everytime."

They could care less about your personal situation. They care everything about YOU meeting your obligations.

When mature people have money problems, they take every opportunity to solve them, EVEN IF it means working a second job on weekends or at night. If you husband is the sole provider, then NOTHING holds him back from staying at home at night with the kids while YOU go out and work. Which kind of makes me wonder, if he's the only one working, why do you need two cars???

Getting into debt is easy. Anybody can do that. Getting bad credit is easy. Anybody can do that too. And FYI, I've been there and done that...even working three jobs at a time. If I can do it, so can you.
