I went to JD Byrider in hopes of getting a car that I could count on for getting me from point A to Point B at a fair cost. I told the salesmen what I could pay per month and went from there.

The salesmen told me that he has one car that would fit my needs. It was a 1997 Grand AM GT. The car looked nice and the salesmen kept assuring me that this was the best car he had on his lot. He even told me that "this is such a great deal, I would sell this to my Grandmother".

I was never told the price of the car. I finally seen the price once the papers were typed. He had me sign the papers and then he typed in the numbers on the contract. He told me that this would save us some time so I can get on my way and enjoy my new car.

The second day that I had the car I had to get it towed to my house because the gas gauge was broke and I was not aware of that. I bought this car in September of 2003 and have had nothing but problems with the car.

I have filed a complaint with the Ohio Attorney's General Office in a Class-Action Law Suit against JD Byrider in fault of their contract. I have filed this complaint in March and am waiting for a response.

I have kept up the maintence on this (oil changes every 3000 miles, new tires, brakes, shocks, rotating the tires, balancing, fluid flushed, etc, etc) car as well as repairing many, many, many things.

I was unaware of Kelly's Blue at the time of buying this car. I bought this car for a whopping $16,000. The Blue Book value $2,100.

CNAC refuses to talk to me at all. I'll call them and as soon as I say my name, they just put me on hold forever. I really sat on the phone one day for 52 minutes, then I finally hung up. They know that I am in with the Class-Action Law Suit and refuse to work with me on this matter.

I'm lost and not sure what I can do as a consumer other than take it in the rear!!!!

Pamela, you need to call the Atty. General's office and find a live person to talk to about your case. JD Byrider has already been sued in Ohio for these bad business practices. They are obviously repeat offenders and learned nothing from the fines of over $600,000 from the state of Ohio. The Atty. General is on your side-just be persistant. Good Luck!
