Back in dec 2004 I went for a ride and ended up going through jd byriders parking lot.

I was just driving through to turn around and I was trying to go onto state street out of their parking lot.

I was approached by a sales man as he introduced himself
asked me if I was interested in buying.

I told him no and he asked me about 2 more times so I said ok. Well I turned the car around and parked.

I asked him first of all how long will this take?
He said we could have you in and out in about an hour.
I said ok where do I start? He said we can do a credit check.

This was roughly around 11:30 afternoon and had to be to work about 5pm. I did make him aware of this.

After about half hour I asked ok is this going to take longer. He says just a couple min.

Well I'm outside looking and about an hour later he comes out and says ok this isn't going to take much longer. I'm getting flustered and just getting upset

Well after about another half hr of being ignored
he finally comes out and says let's test drive.
I asked him well was I approved? He says yes.

I say for how much? He says it depends on vehicle you get. Well I test drove a ford ranger butt can't have it cause it's a standard and I have severe arthritis in left foot.

Then he pointed out a pontiac gr prix; said test drive this only 49000 original miles. I said ok.

I came back and he asks well are you a buyer of this vehicle. I asked if I could sleep on it and come back tomorrow. He replied no you wont' be approved again if you leave now.


Believing at the time this is a low mileage vehicle.
Well after reading articles about problems with this car lot , I started thinking this car and the shape its in can't "ONLY".

HAVE 49000 ORIGINAL ON IT. I POINTED OUT WINDOW NOT WORKING "ELECTRIC" AND GLOVE BOX HAS A COMBINATION LOCK.

AND IT WAS BROKE. GLOVE BOX HUNG OPEN POINTED THEM 2 THINGS OUT I WAS TOLD OK WE WILL TAKE CARE OF IT.

WELL SITTING THERE FILLING OUT PAPERS AFTER SIGNING MY NAME ON THE FIRST FEW. THEN WE GET TO THE CONTRACT AND "I SAID WELL I WAS TOLD BY THE SALES MAN THAT THEESE TWO PROBLEMS WOULD BE FIXED.

AND THE MANAGER SAID WELL ITS NOT ON THE CONTRACT AND MANAGER WAS NOT AWARE OF THIS -THAT THEY CANT HONOR IT.
well among other problems with the vehicle I don't have enough time to putt everything here.

I work hard for my money and don't need the aggravation or frustration of being lied to and they should knock off some of the price.

You have to fill out paper work and be approved before you know how much ur approved for

Henry, contact the Ohio Attorney General-more than 300 JD Byrider customers already have! In February, 2005 JD Byrider just settled a complaint involving all of their Ohio stores. They were fined over $600,000 for misleading and unfair business practices in Ohio--but they do the same practices all over the country. Read the press release at: www.ag.state.oh.us and choose news, then press releases--it is dated Feb. 9, 2005. Henry, you should file a complaint against them detailing your experience with JD Byrider. You can file one on the same web site listed above. Good Luck.
