I have too worked for J.D. Byrider. What has been said about the Ga. locations is all so true from what i have seen. There was three differant shop manager changes within a 6 to 8 month period of time. With each of these i heard customer after customer being told that the new personal couldn't find records of prior repairs and or of past agreements made by co. managers to honor warrantiesor repairs.I have seen customers come in time after time with the same problem and the co. don't cover the tow charge for these return visits that's co. policy....unless the customer just out right throws a fit and gets down right ugly with them.As far as the upper Management they are as sweet as candy when you are a new unsold customer. Once you've signed the paper work...they could care less if you have a ride or not,if you are put out because the car they sold you broke down -you can't afford a rental car(the co. also don't provide loaner cars either) and the uncovered repairs that your car now needs...they put off airs that they are better then you because they are more polished/with better ed. that they can talk to you anyway they see fit.Julie is the worst At being this way...she has been with the co. for sometime started out with them in Ohio.By the way that's where they are based out of so she knows all the big wigs of the co.,they transfered her as a controller at Marietta .Ga. She feels like she can say or do what ever she feels like because she knows the Co. is going to back her up reguardless of her actions.I have seen/heard her get very rude-mean with the customers and some of the employees includeing myself. She really abuses her authorty with the co.As far as Rex ...well Rex don't do too much of nothing mainly draws a check just noding his head in agreement with whatever Julie , Pierce and now shop manager Ray (which does not too much more then Rex himself)do or say.I have seen managers dirrect mechs. to take parts off of repo,s before sending them off to auction to get front line cars up and running to keep sells up/and recon. budgets dn. ,not caring about how the parts from their inop. car lowers the value of the repo. that the customer has to pay the differance on if it doesn't pay off the loan in their name. I have heard the management say well they(the customer)should've made their paymts.and they would not gotten themselfs into repo. stat.., who cares about the part swap it's a repo. for God's sake!!who cares just do it!!!WE need more selling cars on the front line for this weekend. The Cars they sell do come from Auctions, mostly from up north(lots have bad rust in the floorboards-body due to the salt on the roads in the winter time from up north). Some also have been in wrecks and damage has been covered up by bodywork. They say that they set appt. times for the shop service dept. but in truth they make the customer ser. person set them all up at 8 am in the morn..leaving you to believe that you got the 1st appt. for the day when in turn you are sitting with 7 to 13 more people for most of the day waiting to been seen ,wondering what is taking so long..and if you show up on you appt. set day after 12.00 noon they send you away completely with another set date and time.they will tell you that they will order the parts for your car and have them ready to be installed on your set date but this happen very very few times most of the time they start getting then when you show back up that day and tell you that the part supplier messed up on the order to buy them sometime to get them that day or to get to to come back again at another time this frees them up to gwt to that just got into car haveing problems persons car before you and plus keep there budgets down too.As far as a workers standpoint of view their biggest problem is they have too many people in management that wants from the Co. the ( That a boy!!!pat on the back,we couldn't have done it without you)So in turn they step on eachother toes in turn not getting nothing done to better the customer but only making it more frustrating and more unlikeing to deal with...same thing for their more common worker also...i paid for insurance up to my last paycheck but i couldn't use it a week after i worked for them because somebody from the office in Marietta had called and cansel it out the day i left. But then corp. couldn't do nothing about the 150. they had held out of my last check for it .which at the time i hadn't even got.

#3UPDATE EX-employee responds

Wed, August 16, 2006

Hi Teffany,

Good to see another ex-employee that QUIT not FIRED from JD Byrider got the "BALLS" to write about the management and un-ethical practices of JD Byrider Marietta, GA.

I was able to get my money back from JD Byrider when I wrote a letter to the CEO of the company. All you have to do is go to JD Byriders website

http://www.jdbyrider.com/sites/jdbs.nsf/page/home.html

and go to the different areas (about us, contact us, media, etc) and write to everyone on the list about the company and how they stole your money. I bet you will have your money back quickly just like I did. Especially if you tell them that you will be contacting the GA DOR, IRS, BBB, and the labor board. It is against the LAW that they turn off your insurance during the month that you have paid up to and they must offer you COBRA. If they have not done this, then they are not in compliance with the state and federal labor laws.

Good luck in your endeavor. John

It amazes me that some dysfunctional companies can

work so hard at screwing people and still make poor money, while honest companies that take care of their staff and customers will make a LOT of money. A mystery, wouldn't you say?
