Complaint Review: J. D. Marvel Products Inc.

Ripoff victimized many consumers consumer fraud ripoff fraudulent ripoff business victimized many consumers .....

I am writing this for my mother who ordered (2) pair fleece lined soft suede slippers on October 31, 2002 for Christmas gifts. Total including S&H was $16.90.

When she received her November 2002 bank statement, she discovered that her check to J. D. Marvel Products, Inc. had cleared Banker's Trust, 515 Union Blvd., New York, NY (phone# 973-389-4825). She has the cancelled check.

As of this date, January 19, 2003, she has not received the merchandise or any correspondence from J. D. Marvel Products. After calling the BBB, she was told there is "no such company listed."

She contacted me (I live in another city) and asked for my help (she is 77 yrs. old). When I entered the company's name on the net, I was appalled at what I saw!!! I could not believe that this so-called company lied and scammed so many consumers.

The amount of money that has been "stolen" from innocent consumers is outrageous! Something has to be done! Please help!!! People like this need to be caught and stopped!!!
