My car broke down and I needed to purchase a new one.  A friend introduced me to Jean because he was working with a used car dealer to purchase vehicles at auction and resell them.  He found me a 1994 Toyota Corolla for $1595.  After speaking with him, we agreed that he would charge me a $200 flat fee in addition to the price paid for the vehicle itself, to cover tax, tag & title, for a total of $1795.  He delivered the car right away, provided temporary registration paperwork for my current tag, and said he would process the paperwork for getting the title transferred over to my name.  About 6 months later, I get pulled over and get a ticket for incorrect registration because my temporary paperwork expired and, according to the police officer's records, the vehicle still was not in my name.  I contacted him again and he stated that they had had a little trouble getting the title into their name from the auction, but that he would take care of it.  However, this was around September of 2009, which is when fees for registration and titling went up.  In addition, the dealership that he was working with was going out of business.  So he said that he has another friend that has a dealer license and that dealer can put the title in his name to avoid having my car included in anything that is liquidated as a result of the former dealer going out of business.  However, this new dealer wanted his dealer fee of $125.  Therefore, I now needed to pay the additional $125, and ALSO pay the additional registration fees as a result of not having the title transferred into my name before the fees were increased.  All in all, I spent around $2200 on this car, STILL DO NOT HAVE A TITLE, and it is sitting in my driveway.  It has been this long because I kept giving him chances, and he always had some sort of excuse why the paperwork was not submitted to the DMV.  I also requested the information for the dealership itself, since he was more of a middle man, and he would not provide the information, said he would take care of it.  By the time he actually provided me with any sort of contact information for the dealer whose name the car was in, it was too late.  I could not locate them, nor did the phone number Jean provided work, as the people who answered did not recognize the name of the person he told me to ask for.  I cannot do anything with this stupid car now, besides junk it at this point, and I would recommend that if you even HEAR the name Jean Saturne, please please run away immediately and do NOT risk doing ANY SORT OF BUSINESS with this person.  He is NOT honest and did not follow through on any of his promises.  He said he would take care of the situation and instead, left me in a lurch and screwed me over for around $2200.  Thanks for nothing Junior!

FYI - this all happened while he was living in Boynton Beach, FL.  According to his FB page, he now lives in Brooklyn, NY - NY People BEWARE!!!

Really?  Let's set a few things straight right now -

First off, everything I wrote in that report is factual, accurate, and as far from a lie as can be.  In fact, I have a paper trail
to prove it and back up what I wrote, so it is obviously you who is trying to come off looking good even though you are in the wrong in this instance.

Second off, I don't owe you ANY money - YOU owe me money for leaving me hanging and not handling your part of the deal.  I paid you the $1795.  Then after I got a ticket for the registration, I notified you and you told me that I would have to pay the new dealer $125 (since the old dealer was going out of business), plus the registration & title fees were more than they were in May (when I first purchased the car) because of the rate hike that occurred in September.  The difference was around $250 or so.  I paid you for both the additional dealer fee and the additional registration/titling fees, and you STILL DID NOT DELIVER A TITLE TO ME.

Third, don't EVER threaten me again, about anything - it doesn't work, I don't take kindly to being threatened, and the last thing that I'm worried about is you hiring a lawyer to fight me about something truthful that I've written about you not doing what you were supposed to do.  I will win because it is true, and I also have all the paperwork and messages that I've written to you requesting you to take care of this issue right from the start to back me up.  I paid you all the money that you requested, which is exactly why I felt it necessary to write about my experience dealing with you on Ripoff Report - so it doesn't happen to anyone else.

You FINALLY sent me some sort of contact information, which turned out to be bogus, for some company that doesn't really seem to exist or do anything.  I went by the address listed for it and could not locate it.  I called the number numerous times and when I did finally get someone to answer, I was told that I had the wrong number.  When I wrote to you to let you know about that, I couldn't get you to do anything, even when you said that you were going to be back in Florida and would take care of it.

You and your buddies DID rip me off - I haven't driven that car since the end of the same year that I bought it from you, and haven't been able to do anything with it because I can't get a hold of you (who is the logical choice to take care of this) and I don't have any accurate information for the actual titleholder company to contact them and try to get them to do something with this for me.

Now, you either get me my title and contact me when you have it, or let me know that you're too incompetent to actually do that and I'll go ahead and finally junk the car and be done with it.

Govern Yourself Accordingly,
