Jeff Benon and Turning Point Treatment Center in Orange County, California are a scam that offer minimal addiction treatment while charging enormous fees for copay and insurance billing...while the owner smokes crack-cocaine.

I have personally known Jeff Benon (owner of Turning Point Treatment) for nearly 10 years and have seen how this shady character cries poverty and claims to offer great drug rehab services while charging enormous out-of-pocket copayments and PPO insurance as a means of funding his own personal lifestyle.  This is a man with multiple legal troubles pending due to his recent relapse on crack-cocaine while simultaneously operating a residential drug rehab center.  Mr. Benon hires fly-by-night staff and also affiliates with other shady, scam-type people such as John Cahall of Solutions for Recovery and Capo  by the Sea.

His motives have been proven to be nothing more than financial. He currently has both, criminal AND civil claims against him!  Mr benon cares about one thing and one thing only, and that is getting as much money from the client & family as possible...if you search the web you'll easily find numerous complaints.  He cries poverty and then holds people hostage, this is NOT a good person!

DO NOT send your loved one to Turning Point Treatment Center in Orange County, California!  Do you research and do your diligence!!!

I give a strong "thumbs up" to Turning Point in Mission Viejo. I am pleased to rebut this criticism, as it is outdated and obviously written by a disgruntled person.  I am a licensed therapist with deep and long experience in the field. I attest the excellence of the program as it currently exists! The program director at the Mission Viejo program is outstanding, caring, nurturing and creative.  The clients receive medical detox, licensed therapy and participate in therapy trauma group, nutritional support, coping skills, relapse prevention, healthy family communications, exercise, help with job skills, couple counseling and enjoyable and outings throughout Southern California. A highly-rated software program is used to record and coordinate services and RN's are on site to facilitate safe detox.  The environment is comfortable, even elegant. Time to update this!  I give a strong "thumbs up" to Turning Point in Mission Viejo.

This is par for the course, Jeff Benon and George Filipides using deception and lies as a means of misleading the public in a direction that serves their purpose.  This is an absolutely horrible, shady and ilequipped residential treatment center that will say whatever it must in order to divert attention elsewhere.  If that means making false accusations and claims that attempt to distract the reader and/or client then, well, as you can see...  The claims made in the previous rebuttal are laughable.  Moreover, for those who would like to receive a copy of a complete text message thread of Jeff Benon making outrageous claims from his cell phone and then later attributing his behavior as being under the influence then please email your cell phone number to (((email redacted))).  You will see for yourself that it comes directly from his cell phone # at 949-870-7730.  My work and my history with clients speaks for itself, and while we've all had our transgressions, I will never mislead a client, a family, an insurance company or anything of the like!  But at the end of the day I don't care what you may or may not think about me, just DON'T send your loved one to this God-Awful excuse for a recovery center...it's a sham!

To All Whom Are Concerned,

This is a direct rebuttal to Ron's malicious and inaccurate review of Turning Point Treatment Center. The truth of the matter is through his own shady dealings, lack of honesty and struggles with addiction, he continues to perpetuate a scam of subpar work as professional web development. Jeff Benon hired Ron Prosky to perform web development / webmastering for Turning Point. Through this relationship he has shown a lack of response and proper execution regarding the most basic requests and protocols which are standard practices within web development and client relationship management.

Due to Ron's poor workmanship and / or lack of technical experience, he used a copyrighted image from Getty which now (as in currently) poses a potential outcome of $600 to Turning Point for usage rights or it must be removed from the website. After being contacted repeatedly to surrender admin access to the wordpress account, for which he was paid accordingly, he continues to withhold login information, shirking all responsibility in the scenario for an obvious blunder of epic proportions.

In conveying his true character regarding this matter, Ron is now ruder, more indignant and combative, displaying both cowardice and immense unprofessionalism in his actions in dealing with such a simple situation. Jeff Benon on numerous occasions has offered and administered treatment (at discounted rates) in his efforts to support to Ron as a friend and business partner. The most obvious show of Jeff's good faith can clearly be measured by entrusting such a unsavory character to perform continued professional work as a member of the Turning Point team.

To all those who may be fortunate enough to read the original inaccurate report and this rebuttal which fills in the blanks, please be aware of Ron Prosky's tendencies to:

1. Spread false and malicious content on the internet in order to defend himself when confronted with his own misgivings.

2. Perform unprofessionally and deny culpability when counted on to carry out a task for which he has received honest pay.

3. Continually withhold critical company information for his own personal benefit. shakedown>

4. Abuse several substances (which shall remain unnamed), exacerbating all of the aformentioned grievances Jeff Benon and the Turning Point team continue to experience as outlined in this rebuttal.

Our only hope and show of good faith is praying that Ron Prosky can receive the necessary aid and treatment to overcome his continued struggles with addiction, but the first step as many of us know begins with honesty. Though we wish Ron the best, it is sad to vicariously witness his addiction and lifestyle choices have reduced him to actions befitting a common con artist who receives honest pay for dishonest work. The team at Turning Point remains committed to giving clients the best chances to have a lasting and successful recovery from substance abuse.
