n July of 2008 I purchased a 12 yr old gelding from these 2 individuals. The horse was represented as a child safe finished barrel/ pole horse. I took my child to Jeff SIgmans by appointment only, to ride him and there was no where to really try anything more than a walk/trot. I have known Jeff for many years and never dreamed he would mis-represent any horse for my child. Boy was I mistaken.

After paying $3500.00 for said horse, we hauled it to 2 shows and only w/t the pattern as it was a new horse and my daughter is not an aggressive rider. I had disclosed to them that she was a very timid rider and they fully understood what I was looking for when they recommended this horse. On August 9th, 2008 we were at a show at Shenandoah Valley Riding CLub and the horse bucked her off in the warm up pen. (had owned him less than 30 days) Knocked 4 teeth loose, busted both lips open, dislocated her jaw and jammed every vertabra in her neck.

After some coaxing, I was able to get her back on him and into the arena thinking it was a fluke situation. WRONG, he started bucking with her coming out of the 3rd barrel and again busted her face. Jeff Sigman was at that show and refused to ride the horse in the open class. He referred me to his wife to have her ride him. She also refused stating that she can't ride him the way he needs to be ridden (?)

I have made several calls to Jeff Michael and he refuses to make the entire situation right by either refunding my money or replacing the horse with a sane horse of equal value. I have tried to be fair and honest but neither of these individuals is willing to work with me on this issue. They seem to think if they ignore it, it will go away.

Jeff Sigman is actually an agent for Jeff Michael and is paid a percentage of the selling price. Do not trust these individuals to be honest when it comes to representing horses and their safeness and or abilities. They are heartless, money hungry horse traders who have no consciences.

I'm only going to make a comment on this joke of a report - instead of wasting my time writing about the ENTIRE situation.  I feel there were a few false statements in your report, and obviously there are also facts which you failed to disclose; though I am not sifting through the rubbish unless I need to.  You know the facts as well as everyone involved.

One thing you failed to mention was that in November of 2008 you listed Iddo (the horse which you imply in the report that is not child safe) on barrelhorseworld for sale for $4,000.  Under his description you wrote:  Super Nice barrel/pole gelding. . . . Has been ridden by youth on various levels.  My 8 yr old daughter won the open small fry division with him at our local riding club.  . . . Great ground manners,  . . . Fantastic manners in the barn!  Would make an awesome 4-H or High School rodeo horse. . . . 100% sound, no vices.  If you're looking for an all around horse, you just found him!  Only selling because daughter has another horse she is running and we just don't need this one standing around not being used.  He needs to be being hauled, such a shame for him to go to waste in the field.

From the sound of your listing on BHW he seems pretty child safe and sane (no vices - your words)!  If this horse was not fit for your daughter - and not childsafe as you imply,   WHY would you sell him to someone else as childsafe?!  Not to mention that he must be a pretty decent horse since you were trying to get more money out of him than what you paid for him! Talk about money hungry people that have no consciences!
