If you ever have an accident in Jeffersonville, Indiana make  sure to have a video camera mounted to your dashboard and make sure it is on.   If you rely on the Police to take or make an accurate report you may be in for a huge disappointment like I was.

It was on Wednesday November 11th,  During rush hour traffic  I was on my way  to Louisville,  KY heading down I 65 south.  It was roughly between 4:30 PM and 5:00 PM.   I had just made my turn on to the off ramp at exit 0 Falls Of The Ohio State Park.

I was already in the proper lane and driving the car on the off ramp, for a couple seconds and then all of a sudden Crash!  I get plowed into from another driver,   the other drivers vehicle actually slammed into the front right side of the car I was driving.   The damage to the vehicle I was driving occurred on the right front between the front tire and the front passenger door on the passenger side of the vehicle which is a 1998 Cadillac Deville.

The other driver was driving a 2006 Saab.

This is what happened next.   I pulled the car over into the breakdown lane.  Some call it an emergency lane.  I picked up my cell phone,  I called 911  and told them there was an accident.  They switched me over to the Jeffersonville,  IN   Police Dept.   They Dispatched an officer T.  Mitchell to the scene.  Badge Number  631..    I told Officer Mitchell  that I had already made my turn on to the off ramp  and  after I was already on the off ramp is when the vehicle I was driving got struck by the other driver.    I explained to Officer Mitchell that made sure to look before making my turn,   Nothing was coming.    Officer Mitchell  spent maybe a minute talking to me.   And  spent about 20 minutes talking to the other driver I have no clue what She told him.    Officer Mitchell informs me upon handing back my License and Registration and Insurance information  and states that  I must file certain paper work with my auto insurance and then returns to his  patrol car.   I wait a while and he goes back and talks to the girl who happens to be the other driver.   He does this for about 20 minutes.    I walked up to the girl and I asked her if she was ok  and how she was,  She said she was fine  and everything was ok.  So I walked back to Officer Mitchells  patrol  car and asked if he needed me to stay or wait longer,  He said No  I was all set.   At that point I leave the scene after Officer Mitchell says it was ok to do so.

Here is why I didnt see anything coming.   Traffic was backed up that day.   Major Traffic jam!    I was let on to the off ramp by a nice  trucker.   You see the lane to  exit 0 at the  Off ramp was blocked off by traffic.  And the only way around that would be the Break down lane.    Regardless  of all that.  The Vehicle I was driving is the one that  was struck.  Not the other way around.

I did take a couple photos of her car ( the other driver )  .     If you look at the Photos  in one of them you will notice  what looks like a wet spot behind the Saab.   Notice where that wet spot Crosses the White Line.    Now  take her car Line it up with that spot.   Would that not suggest the heading of her vehicle as to be coming out of the break down lane?   Also Look at the Damage to her vehicle in relation to the Damage to the  Cadillac as shown in the pictures.

A few days later I go to pick up the Police report,    It is all wrong!   Officer Mitchell  Wrote me down as improper Lane usage.   He totally Mis-quoted me.   Wrote down stuff that I never even said!

I called the Jeffersonville Police dept a few times over this.   I was informed that Officer Mitchell was out sick.   So  I finally did get a hold of Officer Mitchell  on November 20th.   I had to argue with him and point out that he mis quoted me.    He said fine he would change the narrative part of the accident report and put down that I was in the right lane.   Ok a couple days ago  I went down to the Jeffersonville,  IN  Police Dept to get a copy  of the revised report.   And Its Still Wrong.

Officer Mitchell then wrote.   That on November 20th  that I had contacted him to change my statement.     I did not  want to change a statement.   I wanted to Correct something that he made an error on.      I called him back today.    Actually He called me back  and told me he was unwilling to correct the report because  he said it was correct.   Which the photos  Prove  it is not correct.       Which I will play the conversation  in a youtube video attatched to this report.  Along with photos of both vehicles!    Officer Mitchell Needs to be a bit more honest!   Dishonesty and by the way spitting tobacco are both a disgrace to the uniform!

Photo 1  Below. the Saab    Photo is facing North  the car is facing south

Look behind the saab!    Look at the spot on the ground.      Its wet.   Position her car over that wet spot about where a radiator would be.   Then  line it up.  And  then you will possibly see in which  direction her car was facing  when the impact occurred,   Would it not suggest the saab hitting the Cadillac?   If you look at that wet spot you can see the Majority of it is to the Right  of the White Line.

Photo 2.    Saab again

Ok  look where the officer is standing.  That

Empty

Lane
is the  Exit 0 Off ramp.   See how its all blocked off by other traffic?     All the way back?    The only way to get on there would be to travel the brake down lane.

Next photo   Passenger front side of the Cadillac .

Note:   Cadillac pictures were not taken directly at the scene.   They were taken later during the day time as it was getting night time  when the accident ocoured.

Now the police drawing shows the  Right Front part of the Cadillac  plowing into the saab.  Ok  if  that was true.    Why is there No damage to the  Right front Corner  of the Cadillac?    I question that.  Also if the police diagram was correct  the Cadillac  would have had broken  turn signal lenses  in the front do be able to do the amount of damage that was done to the Saab  the other drivers car

 S

ee this here  this is where the damage Occurred on the Cadillac       This would Prove the Police report to be  Errored.
