Went to visit Dr. Rubin for my 3x.  Live in multiple cities.  Was told that I need X rays.  Informed the hygentist that I just had them in Chicago.  She said we have to take them.  I said I think I just had them here as well.  She checked with a woman from Slavic region (very poor English, extremely difficult to understand one word she speaks).   They said I was due.  Had my cleaning, The dentist came in for 30 seconds (which is ususal).  All clear.

I have Anthem Dental (full coverage), they sent me a bill for $253 saying that Xray weren't covered, just had them on February of 2014.  Service was rendered in November of 2014.  Seems to be a routine. Dumb and dumber not knowing, but in turn screwing the patient.

His practices are shoddy at best.  He also in violating HIPPA - no door or covering to office space.  Everyone in waiting room can hear everything they discuss with you about your medical history.  Verbally that is.  NO effort to protect my privacy even when I said something.

Wont' be going back and will be writing to the ADA about his deceptive pracitces.   After looking over the internet, this isn't his first time.

He is violating his own HIPAA by reporting his personal information. It is the patients responsibility to know their own insurance and all insurance companies report this. Generally patients have 2 cleanings a year covered and when your cleaning is outside that scop it is the patients responsibility to pay out of pocket. ALL insurance companies can tell this to the patients plain and simple. Having a door in the operatory violates sexual harassment laws however this moron doesnt understand that. Best he take his business elsewhere and our office already alerted criminal authorities of his deception and fraudulent attempts
