I recently broke a serpentine belt and went to Jensen Tire to get it repaired. I was told the alternator was froze up and it would cost $550.00 to replace. Luckily I know quite a bit about cars and asked to look at it. The broken belt had wrapped itself around the alternator pulley. After 3 minutes work the mechanic had removed the belt on my request, installed the new belt, and everything was fine except for the price they demanded. They charged me $ 72.07 for a belt that costs $ 27.50 at NAPA and 98.40 for the labor that took a total of 15 minutes. They also informed me all my ball joints and tie rod ends were bad and needed to be replaced. Upon later inspection by a reputable mechanic I was informed none of the parts were bad. This company needs to be put out of business. I can't imagine what they do to people that actually trust them with their cars.
