I took my truck in for a bad vibration I was experiencing while driving. I arrived at Jensen Tire early that Saturday morning to have them detail the problem. After approximately an hour of inspection a mechanic came out and said it would be around a thousand dollars to fix what they think it might be. There was no detailed invoice received for what he wanted to fix. I stated that I absolutely did not want all this stuff and just wanted a tire balance, hoping that would fix the issue, and a fuel filter. Thinking I not need to worry about the items he stated after saying no, I neglected to get this all in writing. After 4 more hours of waiting I finally asked what the hold up was. I was told by the manager that they had ordered the wrong parts and were waiting for the correct item to show up. After approximately 2 more hours they came out and said my vehicle was completed. Steve stated that the total was $680 dollars. After stating several times all I wanted was the fuel filter and the wheel balanced, they added an idler arm, pitman arm, tire rotation and a wheel alignment. After test driving my truck the issues still persisted so I took it back within the week. They agreed to re-grease the ball bearings and see if that would help. They stated that I should drive it for awhile and let the grease settle in and see then how it feels. After approximately 3 weeks the vibration has got consistently worse. I also noticed that after they "greased" the bearings I could no longer turn my manual hub locks to "Lock". Also my turning radius was completely shot. I then took it back to Jensen Tire and he had to reinstall the manual locking hub.

After weeks of this vibration, I finally took it in to Tires Plus and my local Toyota dealership. Within five minutes they discovered the problem and gave me a quote of how much it would cost; nowhere near a thousand dollars. Both places said this is very critical to get taking care off because the U-Joint that was broken was so close to the gas tank and if had snapped off could rupture the gas tank. I'm hearing this after Jensen Tire told me to drive around and let the grease settle? After getting the vibration issue was fixed Tires Plus outlined in an invoice that the manual locking hub was still not installed correctly and if not taken care of could destroy my entire front end. Also they explained to me that the reason my turning radius was so bad was because the pitman arm was installed with the steering wheel not set and turned in the wrong position.

Jensen Tire needs to be put out of business. They have no regard for their customers safety!
