In late March 2018 I contracted through U-SHIP to have a boat transported from South Florida to Washington state.  Howen transport in St. Petersburg Fl met my offer and demanded a $2,000.00 deposit. At the same time the deposit was sent, I recieved notice from U-SHIP that Jeremy Howen, Howen Transport was removed from U-SHIP as a vendor.  They said for privacy reasons they could not say why, just recommended I do not do business with Howen Transport.  Since Howen Transport had just recieved the deposit check, there wasn't much I could do.  Jeremy Howen assured me the reason for his dismissal from U-SHIP was over a minor matter.  Jeremy Howen and I discussed  dates for pick up and delivery.  He told me he would give me 5 days notice prior to picking up the boat.  Those dates have now passed and I have not been able to contact Jeremy Howen in over 30 days.  His phone numbers say his voice mail account has not been set up. He does not respond to texts, he does not respond to letters.  Where he is, what he's doing and if he actually lives in St. Petersburg Fl I have no idea?  All I know is, he has my $2,000.00 deposit and I have not heard from him in over a month. DO NOT DO BUSINNES WITH JEREMY HOWEN OF HOWEN TRANSPORT IN ST PETERSBURG FL. UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR DEPOSIT TO DISAPPEAR!

On June 28th, 2018 after having a conversation with a fraud Detective from the St. Petersburg, Fl police department, Jeremy Howen texted me and said he would send a refund check for the boat he never delivered.  He said he would send me the tracking number.  Over two weeks later I have not heard from Jeremy Howen nor have I been sent a copy of the check or the tracking number. I have texted him twice with no response.  I don;t believe he ever had any intention od sending me a check.  We'll see what the St. Petersburg police dept. will do.  I'm done waiting for Jeremy Howen to come through, he's simply not an honest business man and potential clients should be aware of his tactics to get your deposit and not provide the service!

After contacting the St. Pete police Dept. Jeremy Howen has agreed to return the $2,000.00 deposit he has sat on for 4 months. I will believe it when I see it!

St. Pete police dept. has assured me he will be arrested for fraud if he does not send a check in the next two weeks.

If you have been a victim of Howen Transport Inc or and Jeremy Scott Helen please contact the Saint Petersburg Police Department and report this. This man has to be stopped, it is all too common of his way of doing business. He reports medical issues, vehicle accidents, engine trouble, and does not respond to requests for information. His response has been so sue me. The Saint Pete Police Department does have multiple reports on his activities.

Howen Transport, the saga continues.

After my original comments about Howen Transport I received  a text from Jeremy Howen.  He explained that medical issues kept him from being able to transport the vessel per the original agreed upon dates.  He stated he needed a couple of weeks to recover and that he would definetly transport the boat in 2 to 4 weeks depending on his Doctors orders.

Well, as of today, May 20th, over 3 weeks later, I have not heard from Jeremy Howen nor have I been able to contact him or receive a response by phone, text or email?  Have you ever heard of a trucking company who does not have voice mail? email? does not return text messages or contact you in any way to give you an update on your service?

AS of today I have texted Jeremy Howen to request my $2,000.00 deposit returned and have given him until Wednesday May7 30th to return the deposit.  Who runs a business this way, regardless of health issues.  I will wait until May 30th to recieve my deposit back or I will be forced to proceed with other measures. Beware of Howen Transport unless you want to go through what I've had to go through over the past 8 weeks.

After 4 weeks with no contact, Howen Transport contacted customer and explained medical issues prevented them from performing their contracted obligation. Both parties agreed to extend contract dates due to these issues.

This report is a hoax we have no contract with anyone in Delray and Buddy does not exist. This is obviously a attempt to smear our good name. We have over 60 positive referrals and hopefully rip-off report.com will take this as serious as we do and remove this obvious scam posting. Howen Transport has no open contracts.
