Eight months ago, I worked for a contractor (Jerome Sammy) who owns a company in Markham, Ontario by the name of FINISHED BASEMENTS. I worked for him as a sub-contractor. I built cabinets and worked on various other projects for him-- which he has displayed photos of, on his website: http://www.finishedbasementsscto.com.
Since the work has been completed, he has yet to pay me. I've received several cheques from him that have all bounced. After multiple attempts at contacting him, I finally reached him and he wrote me another cheque, which subsequently bounced. This was yesterday: June 27, 2008.

This is very easy to solve. There is the Small Claims court for the purpose of sloving unpaid amounts for work preformed. I Terry claims that he has not been paid, why didn't he take me to small claims court for justice.I did acknowledge that he had one check returned that was eventually reimbursed in the full amount. This is one check after dealing with him over a 2 year period and not one of his other checks were returned.
Terry started a job that he never completed and I had to hire another contractor to finish the project that he started. He told me that he would show up to preform a contract and never showed up, or called me three weeks later.
If I owe any money to Terry then he should take me to Small claims Court. But he cannot take me to small claims court because I don't owe him any money.
I will be getting my lawyer to persue this case of liable and malicious intent and Terry will have to pay for his misinformation.

I stand by everything that I said in my initial report. I have copies of the NSF cheques as proof. Jerome Sammy is not as reputable as he would like people to believe.

In response to the claims by Mr. Terry.
I have never refused to pay any contractor, sub-contractor or persons working for me.
I have a reputable company and I intend to keep it that way.
I would like Mr. Terry to produce those sub contractors that he claimed that I did not pay for services rendered.
Concerning the check that Mr. Terry said that subsequently returned NSF or bounced I would like you to know that the said check No.1801 for the sum of $1470.00 ( fourteen hundred and seventy dollars and been debited from my account. I do not owe Mr. Terry any money whatsoever.
Concerning my web site all the work is produced in my shop and is built by many people.
Mr. Terry was working on a small part of one of the many projects that I produce.All he did was build a mantle with my guidance and help install the cabinets, which he was paid for when he invoiced me for the work completed, he does not own the rights to my projects.
I would like Mr. Terry to retract his false statements and I would like this web site to cease and Cease and Desist the publication of these false information immediately.
