Complaint Review: Jerry brasswell attorney at law

We hired jerry brasswell to handle a case and when he gave one price we all agreed then in the middle of the process he wanted additional money and wanted the family to do all the work. We had several court dates at which he was not present and always came up with a sorry explanation as to why he did not show up, ranging from he got his dates mixed up to he had car problems or this was not a big dates so he decide at the last minute not to show up.  When you called his office they would lie and say he was not available or he was in court.  

He never interview the witnesses and tried calling the one one witness the day of trial to see if he could come right over and be put on the stand. Never prepared his client prior to the trail and even had the key witness meet him down south so that he could interview there. He had everyone thinking that the witness lived in the state where he practiced, which mean he did no preparing for this just took the only money and did not care.  Wanted to meet with the witness alone a young female ,so he says go over the case(really) I don't think so.  Would not return calls,emails for weeks but wanted money.  Came to the trail unprepared, unorganized and with a non shalont attitude because he had already gotten paid.

Filed motions without discussing them with his client or his family to see if that's what they wanted. Was sanctioned prior to the trail and did not say anything to his client or anyone involved. He pulled no phone records,did not talk to any witnesses, never surveyed the area nothing just a big disappointment.
