This doctor was very disappointing. We were interested in natural child birth and he totally didn't care. He tried to even bring up the idea of a C section. He didn't even know about all the helpful bacteria the baby gets in the birth canal via natural child birth vs C section. We told him we were going to wait on the vitamin k and Hepatitis B shot and he had a total cow. As if we were going to kill our baby if we didn't submit to vaccination on the first day of life.

We also mentioned were were in no way interested in circumcision and he was totally against it, and started to act like he didn't even want to be our doctor because of our inclinations. In the end we decided to go with another doctor because he had no interest in they way we wanted to manage our child's birth. As if we disagreed with anything he said we must have no idea of what we are talking about. It was very condescending and unprofessional.

I wonder why you even consulted with a doctor...

...if you're going to let your feelings and instincts and wishes overrule what the Medical Professional recommends for your future child. The doctor looked over all the information he had, and made recommendations. You looked to your personal feels, and made your own decision. You'll have to live with the consequences, not him.

The red flag went up when you decided that you "didn't want to submit your baby to vaccinations its first day of life." If the normal procedure is to give the vaccination immediately, and you don't want to, you are, indeed, risking killing your baby. But again, this is all about how you "feel" and what you "want," not what is best for the innocent little human that couldn't pick its parents.

I'm sure you'll have no problem finding someone who will go along with whatever you want- and if your child is injured, you'll blame that person, not yourself. "As if we disagreed with anything he said we must have no idea of what we are talking about." Well, did you go to med school? No? Then chances are he is absolutely right- you DON'T know what you are talking about. But hey, it's just a human being's life we are talking about here. Go with your Feels over the advice of a Professional. Get those vaccinations if and when you "feel" it's the right time, I'm sure disease will just wait. I wish your kid the best of luck.
