ON JUNE 4, 2012 I RESPONDED TO A CRAIGLIST.COM    ad for a 1999 Mercedes E320. I spoke to Jerry by his cell phone 847 757-9209 and we met at a CHASE Bank Branch in Lombard, Illinois where I paid him for teh full price of the vehicle.  On the craigslist.com site he advsrtised as a private party but in the course of the payment transaction, he wrote a BILL OF SALE from Nemesis Auto LLC which surprised me and at the same time promised to send the title to me. He also gave me a 30day TEMPORARY sticker to display until I had received the title.

I took posession of the vehicle and waiteed for 2 weeks and then I phoned him to tell him I had received no title.  He blamed a secretary for not acting on it. i WAITED AGAIN ANDD AFTER 30DAYS WERE UP, i CALLED BUT COULD NEVER REACH HIM AFTER MANY ATTEMPTS TO CALL. I continued waiting until finally, I had to a problem arise when I lost the only key he had given me. Mercedes Benz would not issue a duplicate key without proof of ownership, a Title.

In my dilemma,  pleade with the MB dealer and MB USA and MB germany but to no avail. I then phoned Missouri Dept of Revenue which handle motor vehicle transaction and they said they found a Notice of SAle filed. So far with all the bureaucratic complications I have not received a copy.

My next step is to have the state where the title is to be issued decalre me the ownber, another complication! I have not been able to drive my car since August 18, 2012 when Ilost the key. It is now  November 12, 2012 with no end to the matter in sight.

Dennis. There are several things that you can do to force this guy in this car dealer provide you with a title or get them in trouble for doing what they've done to you. No car on their lot should be for sale unless They have the title.   I'm not sure I understand does that Jerry live in Missouri and you live in Chicago ?  You need to list the dealership in your report. If this guy works for the dealership it needs to be revealed.  The dealerships license could be at stake if they're selling cars and not having the titles.

You need to contact the motor division In the state in which the dealership operates and has a license in.  You need to take a copy of the bill of sale and a photocopy or a picture of the temporary tag and bring that to the state in which the dealership operates in.

Let them know what the dealership is doing and what the dealership is letting this Jerry guy do off of the lot.  Jerry might not even be an employee of the dealership. He might be buying cars off of the dealerships license from auctions and selling them to the public.  Dealerships are not allowed to sell cars to people such as Jerry if Jerry is not a licensed dealer and selling to the public Without of dealers license.

Each Statehouses walls regarding automotive sales there are certain things they can and they're certain things they cannot do. If this dealership is allowing this guy to make cash money under the table and not pay income tax on it it's against the law. This guy Jerry Might be doing what's called curbing off of the dealerships license.  That is against the law.

If the state finds out that Jerry is acting as a dealer and they dig into the paperwork and it reveals that this guy has been selling a bunch of cars they can go after him for operating without dealers license. They can go after him for income tax evasion.   They can go after him for state income tax evasion as well as the federal.  If he's buying cars off of the dealerships license. The state can even go after the dealership and possibly even revoke the dealerships license to sell cars.

You need to post more information about the dealer that this guy is getting his cars from.  You also need to contact the state and find out what this dealerships license number is.  Find out more about the auto dealer if he has a website post it in your report if they have a physical location take pictures. You need to put heat on the dealership for allowing this to happen on their license.

If they feel there in jeopardy of losing their business license they might give you all of your money back and take the car back.

When posting the ripoff report such as this people need to list more information you never know who's reading your report.   The more information you post the more help you will receive. I personally will dig into this matter and try to assist you anyway I can but from now on post more detailed information about all parties involved.  The dealerships name should've been listed in the ripoff report as well as the phone number and website.

By no means do I encourage people to post ripoff reports. But if you feel you have a need to post a ripoff report about any business or person POST MORE DETAILS, you never know who is reading the report. More detail applies more legitimacy to your complaint.  Maybe just maybe the dealership doesn't even know this guy is doing this behind their back.   Giving more detail to your report will add so much help to you in getting the issue result.  You need to contact the dealership and let them know what's going on they need to read your rip off report like I said maybe this guys doing this behind the dealerships back.

No dealer wants to loose their dealer's license because of a dirty under the table car deal.

Look what pops up on the first page of google when you do a search on " Nemesis Auto LLC "

The report you posted is on the first page of google. I am sure the dealer would not like that and want to take care of this issue for YOU.
