Bought a brand new Hyundai Elentra GLS in 2002. It came with their "great" 5 year/60,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty.

July of this year(2004), took car in because of a rattle underneath the car. Car had 38,000 miles on it, so obviously still within their warranty.
Left the car at the dealership for the day for them to look at the problem. Was told the rattle was caused by a loose bolt. Was then told that tightening a loose bolt is just an "adjustment" and adjustments are not covered by the warranty. They then tried to explain to me that loose bolts are "normal wear and tear" of the vehicle.

It was a $50 bill, which I currently am disputing with my credit card company. I called Hyundai customer service the next day and was told there was nothing they could do. Its up to the dealership to determine if its an adjustment or not.

Shouldn't a bumper to bumper warranty cover any problems with the car no matter how they fixed it? Am I also suppose to believe that any bolts on my car could come loose and pieces of the car will begin to fall off?
