Swindler! not trust worthy!

We bought a 2004 Sebring convertable for my wives College graduation present. 2 years of working at St. Marys and going to school full time. We shopped around and found a car she fell in love with, white 2004 Sebring. We went in wheeled and dealed and got it for a decent price of $5200.

So we get our temp tag and wait for the title. A few days before the 30 days was up is when the trouble started. We would either call or go there in person and it was always an excuse. It's either at home, in the owners wives car. Eventually past the 30 days, just cant find it. They said they are going to apply for a speed title. Then gave us a 15 day extra temp tag.

12 or 13 days later. We had to start calling and going there again. They said "we applied for the title, we cant help how long it takes" A few days later we got a ticket for expired plates. So we call again told them they have to do something until the title comes in. After a few more phone calls. They decided to lend us a dealer plate until the title comes in.

The title came in April 1 while my wife was at work. The next day was good friday, therefore, Licence Branch closed. My wife works at St. Marys from 7 in the morning to 7 in the evening so the 4 hours the License Branch is open on Saturday was off. Sunday and Monday the Branches are closed, So we was going to get the new plates on Tuesday 4 days after she got the title.

On Sunday, April 4. Jerrys main Mechanic and son STOLE the dealers plate while we was parked outside of walmart. On Easter Sunday. How the heck can you give someone such a run-a-round after they paid cash for the car about the title. 2 months of excuses, and they give us a measley 3 days to plate the vehicle before stealing their dealer plate back from us.

We called the police and because it was a he said she said situation. They gave us the plates, told us to fix it Tuesday and sent the thief on his way. At least I think. We left but his Expidition was full of beer so hopefully the little punk got pick up.

I advise EVERYONE not to go here. They are sleazy and I would stay away.

We had to go out late Easter sunday, only store open was walmart. Long story short My right lung is dying so I get one of those nifty Handicap spots right in the front of the store. As for bumping into them at wal-mart. You got me. Small town. Wal-mart and gas stations only stores open. I guess it was just coincidence. The owners son had about 4 other guys with him.

Since we parked in the Handicap spot you have to walk past our car to enter. In the last 2 months between phone calls and going there personally, I am sure they recognize the car with just a look. There was even one time where we went to the dealership and the guy told us, the title was on it's way there and if I would leave my adress with him he would drop it off later that evening. They never showed.

So lie after lie, phone call after phone call we told them they have to find a way to help us get plated since it was their fault that couldn't produce a title. So the owners wife to them to give us a Dealers Plate until the title comes in and we can get our plates.

I have all the paperwork and dates of the runarounds and screwups on their part. Indiana License Branch is closed today. So First thing tomorrow we are going to get our New plates. Give them back their dealer plates and find out if there is something legally we can so. We have already filed a BBB report. I dunno what that will resolve but, we are trying to do all the right things so they know and remember you cant just try and rip people off.

I had my 2 kids with me Sunday (8 and 10), if we would have been pulled over without plates. Would the copps believed such a story? They would have probably towed our vehicle and left us on the side of the road. Its hard for me to believe it happened but, I was there. I was a part of it and I can honestly say with all my heart it is 100% true.

Just how would they know that you would be at the Wal-Mart on Easter Sunday.

Also, if you re-read this statement it is actually pretty funny...

How the heck can you give someone such a run-a-round after they paid cash for the car about the title. 2 months of excuses, and they give us a measley 3 days to plate the vehicle before stealing their dealer plate back from us.

I really wonder if this is the entire story.
