Complaint Review: Jesse Kline Hi-tech Productions

I received an email from s talent agent from Hollywoodauditions.com, and I called since I had a few questions. Having been a victim of the TCT predators, I was especially prepared to know what to watch for.

I spoke with Mr Jesse Kline, and was given the same speil as all the rip offs go..... "send us your pictures then give us your MONEY!" Mr Kline originally came off as a professional, until I informed him that reputable companies don't request payment up front and collect percentages of the commission made my an actor/actress. (Information provided by the Screen Actors Guild).

Mr Kline then asks, "You're broke?" and continues to rattle off about my not being serious [about acting]. I explained to him that like most people who work for their money, that I wasn't willing to pay to work. His reply? "Have a nice day." Dial tone.

Any company that solicits money before you have worked, please discount them as less than reputable. And if you insist on paying money, find out what the guarantees include, the money back policy, any professional licensures, and affiliations. Have this information faxed to you, better yet mailed! Also check with the Better Business Bureau, and badbusinessbureau.com.

A reputable company will be able to provide you with all the information you need, and won't get rude with you if you clutch your pocketbook.
