Jessica Shadwick posted an add on Charlotte Craiglist selling 4 tickets to Coldplay and claimed to have 5th row on floor (F1, Row E).  She listed the tickets at $150 per ticket and was "selling" them for $125 per ticket.  These tickets are going for $300-$500 per ticket in reality.  She claimed to not have any other way to take payment other than Moneygram.

The first part of our conversations were on email and then 90% of our conversations were via facebook inbox.  We even had a mutual friend. I also messaged her on twitter to confirm it was indeed the real Jessica Shadwick.  I have a long list of references of people i have bought and sold tickets from on Craigslist and on Ebay.

She claimed that she could only do moneygram because she didnt have a bank account and needed the cash quick to "get her car fixed." I offered for my brother to meet up with her in Memphis to give her cash for tickets (where she claimed to live) and she said this would not be possible.  In reality, she lives in Cleveland, TN (which is close to me).  I told her that if she coud produce a picture of the tickets then I would send her payment via moneygram.  She sent me a picture of a screenshot of a portal for Coldplay in hopes it would pass.

At this point, E just began playing along so that I could prove she is a pathetic example of a scammer.  She has scammed people on Ipads on several occasions and this is documented on the internet if you search.  I then asked for some type of proof that she had sent the tickets via Fedex as she claimed.  She provided me with a tracking number and warned me that it would take at least 6 hours to show up.  During the 6 hours, she was very persistent on getting the payment via moneygram from me.  I told her that my payment didn't process correctly and that I would provide her with the info to get the money asap.

Of course, the Fedex tracking number turned out to be completely fake.  Even when Fedex confirmed the number didnt exist and that no package had been mailed to my address she STILL tried to assure me that she had sent the tickets to me. She said that she called Fedex and gave them her debit card info (but doesn't have a bank, lol?) and that they said the tracking number had gotten messed up and the package was going to arrive.  I asked her to 3 way on the phone with a fedex rep and she said it would be too much trouble.   She then tried to get me to just send half of the payment and send the other half when the tickets arrived.

I played along and told her I would send money if she provided me with a proof that she actually sent a package via Fedex. She sent me a picture of a Fedex slip.  Of course, i searched the internet and found the exact same slip on google images with the exact same RMA number listed.  After going back and forth and her swearing that she had sent the tickets many times, she finally caved and said she had lied to me about Fedex and that we were "even" b/c I hadn't sent her money yet.  She then tried even more to get me to send her money and assured me that she would indeed send the tickets this time. I asked her to take a picture of the tickets and send them to me and I would pay her if she could just come up with a pic.

She claimed that her phone wouldnt take a picture and it wouldnt be possible.  So again, i told her that if she could send an actual real picture of proof she mailed something to me that i would send her money.  She sent me a package USPS ($5.40) and send me a picture of the slip addressed to me.  I asked her why she was able to take a pic of the slip but couldnt take a pic of the tickets?  She said that her phone's camera wasn't working before she mailed the tickets out and once she sealed them, that her phone began working to take the picture (haha).  Of course, she tried very hard to get payment and assured me that she was and "honest person" and hoped that i would believe her.

I finally called her out at the end.  Of course, I got the package (the USPS one) a few days later at my address and it was empty.  I have screen shots on facebook of all our conversations, saved emails, saved conversations on twitter, etc.  I even emailed her from a different email address off her craigslist ad and she tried to pull the same junk again.  Obviously, I don't think any person would fall for her attempted ticket scam; however, she has successfully scammed people off craigslist on other items and I take it personal.  Don't be fooled by Jessica Shadwick.  She is a dishonest, desperate scammer.  I will post screen shots and emails on here.

Did this person also go by Michelle Snyder, or use the email address charmingbubbles@gmail.com?  I googled that email, and came across a tweet about being scammed, so I'm pretty sure it's the same person. They're selling tickets, from Tennesse, and asking WU for money transfer - no phone or car, they say.

Thanks!

See my report I just filed on her.  I sure wish I had seen this report before she scammed me for $100. She posted an ad on craigslist Tuscaloosa selling her IPAD2. Of course everything she said was lies as I now know, but she stole $100 from me and never sent any IPAD.

She sent me a pic of her license and the ipad and a email agreeing to commit to sending it and that really was the only reason I fell for the scam bcz originally I was very skeptical but she assured me this was legit and she was just a poor college student needing rent money.  I posted the pics she sent me if you want to take a look at them.  I hope more ppl read about her before she tries to scam them too!

I am going to pursue legal action so this will also be helpful to me once I file.  It's not the money it's the principal here!
