This is Amritpal and I got confirmed ticket booked for my travel on 5 Aug, 09 from New Delhi to Vancouver (Canada) of your company. The flight was 9W-312 and scheduled to leave new delhi at 8:30 on 5th Aug evening. However I got information from your office at 12 noon on 5th that my ticket is being cancelled due to overbooking, as a consequence I had to book through Lufthansa Airlines and wait in NewDelhi airport till 6th Aug 09 2:25 am. I had contacted your office before about this negligent behaviour before but had not got any strong response. I regret to inform you that this type of service is not expected from your airlines and if you fail to provide me relevant response to my query, I will be forced to appeal to your higher authorities and my lawyer. Presently I am in Victoria, Canada. The following is my flight details for your reference: Flight: 9W-312 From New Delhi to Mumbai (BOM) Reservation ID: MJ2QXA Status: Confirmed Flight: 9W-120 From Mumbai to London (Heathrow) Status: Confirmed Flight: 9W -5055 From LOndon to Vancouver Status : Confirmed If all status was confirmed and you gave me silly excuse of overbooking at 11th hour to go for other airline, tell me whether is it my problem?. Who was responsible for overbooking? Why your systems are not robust enough to prevent overbooking?. Who is responsible of the harrasement I and my family faced at the airport waiting tirelessly for other flight which was 6 hours late?. I want you to put in your serious thought to it, pl understand and I as a engineer and management student at Canadian University have to tell you that if you are not going to respond me now, you will not be losing just 1 customer but a number of others who come in my contact; may be more serious consequences. I am sorry for some hard words in my letter but it was height of things, since I am not getting response from anywhere. Expecting Prompt reply.

Flights are overbooked all the time. You probably had a discounted ticket purchased on the Internet from a 3rd party booking agency.In any case you were involuntarily bumped on an oversold flight. You should have recieved compensation for this. It appears that you were rebooked on another airline and apparently you eventually got to Vancouver. The Lufthansa plane was late. Planes are late all the time. Other than the fact that you should have been compensated for being involuntarily bumped I don't understand the problem.
