I am moving from SoCal to the Midwest and called around to get quotes.

Jet Lines Moving & Storage (http://www.jetlinesmoving.com) had the best quote by $800. Mike from Jet Lines called and told me to Google his company to see that they have never been listed on a scam website and are a good, reputable company.

Well, hes right. Sort of. If you pull their MC/DOT licenses, you will discover that they have changed their business name, which used to be All State Moving & Storage. If you Google the old company name you will see all sorts of scams, frauds, legal actions, etc.

How can you tell another human being to Google you to make sure you are legit when you know full well you are a scammer? Low.

But it gets better.

Their website has a testimonial section complete with fake emails saying how good Jet Lines is. Well, Mike and the folks at Jet lines are stupid enough to include fake email addresses on their fake testimonials. So, I emailed all 8 of the email addresses listed on 4/30/8.

Five of them bounced back to me unable to be delivered. Fake email addresses. 3 went through but I never got a response.

Until today. A month later. Ben responds and says Sorry I never got back to you but I was oversees. This is a great company. USE THEM!

Then, exactly three minutes after Ben emails me, I get a call from Mike at Jet Lines. I havent talked to this guy for THIRTY DAYS and out of the blue he calls to check in with me three minutes after Ben finally checks his fake email and responds? WOW!

Could it be that Ben is Mike? Shocking.

So, obviously this guy set up a fake email address, forgot to check it, then saw my email as Ben and then called me back as Mike. Genius!

The best part of the story is now the testimonials section on their website has been edited. The 5 addresses that bounced back to me have been removed, leaving Ben and the other 2 fake addresses.

After my initial posting, I have been made aware of some more facts. It was not my intention to provide inaccurate information or mislead anyone in anyway, so I would like to provide you with the new information I have received:

All State Moving and Storage is Jet Line's corporation name while Jet Lines is the DBA (Doing Business As) name.

They have not changed their name. The company All State Moving and Storage is located in New York and is not affiliated with Jet Lines in any way whatsoever.

Jet Lines did not permanently remove the testimonials from their website. I thought they were gone last week, but If they did remove them at all, they are back up now.

To clarify, I sent emails to Johns, Elkin, Black, Miller, Brown and Parker. Only Parker responded. 2 others bounced back us undeliverable, not 5. The other 3 were from a different company and I counted them incorrectly.

Jet Lines never provided me with any service. I used a different mover.
