SOMETHING STINKS AT JEWEL
Im nearing seventy, a male, and for over ten years Ive considered myself a modern-day Robin Hood.
Jewel Foods is by far the largest grocery store in Illinois with around 184 stores. Before January 16, 2012, they had a generous
scan guarantee policy. They would give you the item free if it scanned higher at the register than the shelf price. Now they just sell you the item at the old sale price if you catch them.
Recently Ive noticed some unusual things. In an audit of 14 stores during January 2, 3 and 4, of this year 2012, I acquired 12 hams, 6 Polish sausages, 10 Trans Ocean crab flakes, 10 Trans Ocean lobsters, 9 Trans Ocean crab legs, 10 Trans Ocean crab chunks, 6 Crosse & Blackwell mint apply jelly, 4 CB orange marmalade jellies, 7 CB red current jelly, 5 frozen tilapia. I donated these items to the poor. But Im wondering why a major multi-million dollar corporation would leave old sales tags up on these same items? By the way, I have proof of my findings.
