The district managers and store managers have the poor assistant managers and trainees wrapped around their finger. Last week or so ago, there was a terrible storm that hit the south and west suburbs in Illinois. Now Com-Ed is trying to restore the power in the store that my husband works in. Now the store has not yet opened. It was supposed to open the week after labor day, but due to the power outage it wont open until two weeks after labor day, which is the week of my 1st year wedding anniversary. And of course, my husband didn't get the weekend off, that he had requested weeks earlier. I can understand that the workers at Com-Ed are going to need a full week (maybe even more!!!) to work on the problem, but they could have had another manager fill in for him. He always does it for other managers at other stores!!! The upper managers at Jewel-Osco dont care about the personal life and families of the employees, they just care about themselves and care about making money. Thanks for ruining my first wedding anniversary, Jewel-Osco. You only get one.
